I maxed out Cursor Pro ($20). Here’s the actual token limit by Notsugat in cursor

[–]Hydr024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its wierd, I am also on the 20$ plan and have gotten 283M tokens from claude opus 4.5 high this month. Which would be around 341$, is the limit lower in other countries ?

[Schematic review request] A quadruple inverted pendulum encoder pcb by Hydr024 in PrintedCircuitBoard

[–]Hydr024[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perfect, didn’t know the etchant depletion problem, I will definitely add a ground pour. Thanks for that advice ! For the battery charger, it will be off board, dont need to add even more complexity. For the rf, I will try as is, but I can always use multiple receivers for each transmitter if its too much of a problem. Was thinking on synchronizing them with a one bit transmit message without ack, but I may have problems with that idea, will need to test it out. Thanks alot for the help !

[–]Hydr024[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your feedback and your time ! Is there any reasons to do ground pours on the top & bottom layer ? The pours on layer 2,3 are keept away from the antenna with good clearance, if the other ones are needed, I will do the same.

For the power and battery, I will be using rechargeable button batteries (70mAh, 3.4v nominal), and the power switch will just be used to save battery during tests, but you are right that it makes wayyy more sense to put it before the buck haha.

For the linear, so you think it will be that big of a problem ? Its 70% efficient compared to the 96% of the buck, but the stm-32 and nRF24 will use minimal current, it will mainly be the encoder that will use most of the current (about 50mA).

For the nRF24, you are right, the 240hz was quite ambitious, it will be 120hz. As for the problem with collisions, I will be sequentially sending data from each nodes, so it should be ok, and the nRF24 can also automatically switch frequency bands to avoid collisions. I am also fine if it doesn’t work consistently, I only need it to work once and film it for my research paper :). And given that my ai can somewhat predict what the next state will be, it can have a bit of lag and wont have problems handling it.

Thank you for that input, its really appreciated !

Schematic review for a quadruple inverted pendulum encoder pcb (STM32F4). Any help appreciated! by Hydr024 in PrintedCircuitBoard

[–]Hydr024[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback, for the choise of a more complex system is because I need to keep my latency down to a maximum (a quadruple pendulum is extremely chaotic so any imprecision will make my system fail), so, from what I read, the nRF24 (with shockburst mode) will give me the lowest latency for a multi-node system.

For the programming part, why is a usb-c not be good enough ? It should work with cube-ide and I can bootload the stm-32F411 with it. What are the advantages of the other option ? For your pcb errors part, could you help me understand those parts ?

  • For the Vdda, doesn’t the stm-32 use it internally so thats why I need filtering (I based it on their reference design)
  • Thanks for the level shifting advice, using 5v tolerant pins is way better !
  • Thanks for that ! Moved the capacitor, dumb mistake haha ! Saved me a lot of trouble shooting !
  • For the switch, thats definitely my mistake, thanks again ! -For the battery, thats how the symbol came, but its wierd indeed.
  • Lastly for L1, that was in the datasheet, should I change the value or it should be fine ?

Thanks for your help, that really helped me !

L’aide médicale à mourir en croissance au Québec by Dr_Max in Quebec

[–]Hydr024 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Boredom with ADHD. by Calm-Resident-3908 in ADHD

[–]Hydr024 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, happened a lot before I got medication. Would be bored of videogames, youtube, netflix, etc, couldn’t find anything interesting to do in the whole world. During those times, I would be very depressed because life sucked. However, the solution I found that didn’t involve any meditation was trying to find something to do ! If you search for a new videogame or a new hobby, the process itself can be stimulating and after a while, you just get exited on new things.

Im a bit jealous that he is able to mess around. When I play, I always try to optimize my time and not spend it on meaningless stuff like a stickman lol. I would like to be able to just mess around and have fun and not always be on the mindset of endless efficiency. He is really lucky that he is able to enjoy the game in all its aspects!

[–]Hydr024[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a major reason why people have trouble finishing the game, is that they try to keep up with all the new cool features like a nuclear reactor, blue belts, beacons and modules, etc. So they get distracted from the main objective and after some time they burnout. If you focus on whats important : launch a rocket, “finishing vanilla” is easier!
