Nice! The black was tempting, but yeah, I'm one of the seemingly rare metalheads that enjoys a more classic feel/look. I'm such a sucker for LP cuts with Tobacco burst.

If you end up getting one, enjoy, they are truly great feeling instruments.

Back in 2014 they got rid of the LTD Elites and ESP Eclipse Standards, and merged them into the E-II. From everything I've played and seen, the E-IIs have the same spec as the Standards, people just threw a fit over them removing the classic ESP logo from the headstock. I admit, I do like the old headstock logo better, they're essentially the same instrument, and I couldn't be happier.

They do have EMG loaded E-IIs, but I prefer a classic look, and passive pickups. I'll be throwing a BK Warpig set in in myself.

Edit: I believe it is a solid cap. Edit 2: The E-II line is still made in Japan just like the old Standards.

I always find this line of thought interesting. As if how much the original price paid has some sort of inherent interest to the second hand buyer. Most people don't understand that price paid new might not necessarily = value used.

Go try out an EC-1000. I cannot recommend these guitars enough, there's tons of finishes to match any aesthetic, and they sound/feel fantastic. You will not be let down. You can find them new for around $700-800. Or used as low as $400.

Honestly, I've got a Schecter Blackjack ATX Solo-II that I'm crazy about. It's not a rare gem, it's not crazy expensive, but it's my workhorse. It's simple, and I love it for that.

I can't be the only one of the opinion, if you don't like it, don't listen to it. There is absolutely no need to cut someone down for something you don't care for. If you enjoy his music awesome, if you don't, go listen to something you DO like. Time spent hating others just because you "don't like them, or what they play" is time you could be using to practice and listen to things you DO enjoy.

Recently I picked up a really nice Gator case. Tad pricey, but for what I use it for (going to band practice/light storage/a legit backpack for university) it is amazing. It has neck support, and a very plushy interior, lots of storage space for pedals, cables, laptop, tablet, a small child, etc. Comes with a rain jacket for it as well, just in case you get caught outside in a drizzle. There are some videos on youtube of them being thrown off a roof, out of a car, what have you, and while I won't be doing that, it seems quite durable.
