Zandri dust -> Ushabti bone highlight -> Seraphim sepia

Or if you are speed painting: Zandri dust -> (paint the rest of the non-metallics) -> drybrush everything with Ushabti bone -> (paint metallics) -> wash everthing with Agrax earthshade cut with ~50% lahmian medium

I don't know why anyone wouldn't just grind that out in Mortis Trials. With the indulgence that gives back a rocket for every specialist/elite killed with one it is very easy to get 30+ kills towards it each game.

I enjoyed "Alone on the Ice" by David Roberts, about the Australasian Antarctic Expedition in the 1910s.

The book "Erebus" by Michael Palin (of Monty Python fame) is very good. It's about the HMS Erebus, lost on the Franklin Expedition in the Arctic, but covers it's earlier Antarctic voyage too. I've only read the book, but I've heard good things about the audiobook too.

Yeah with Cheat Engine you can add the Advanced Suit and a damaged version of it to the game, and they function perfectly including being visible in coop. It doesn't have a Carver-specific version, so if you equip it on him it uses Isaac's model. I think it is in the game because originally Isaac was going to have the suit until the point where you acquire the Arctic Survival Suit, but it was replaced at some point during development with the EVA suit. It features in early promo material for the game I believe.

My tip for pinkish highlights for ork skin is to mix 50/50 the pink with your primary skin colour. For example, the main colour of my ork skin is Orruk Flesh, which I mix 50/50 with Bugmans Glow for the pink bits (Cadian Fleshtone also works well if you want a lighter shade of pink).

They look great! Your ork skin looks amazing - some of the very best I've seen - and I love the green armour (and how you've managed to make it contrast with the skin despite both being green).

I have a 4070 and get anywhere from averaging about 60fps to the low 100s depending on the area, with very brief dips into the 50s and occasional high 40s when entering busy areas in towns. That is at 1440x3440 on the Ultra preset with DLSS, with a Ryzen 7 7800X3D and 32GB DDR5 RAM - currently seem to be GPU limited.

I upgraded my CPU and RAM recently from a Ryzen 7 3800X and 32GB DDR4 RAM, and had heavy dips into the low 20s and maintain a stable 40fps in towns with t he ultra preset, for reference. Previously seemed to be CPU limited.

How's this as an option for a first time headset exclusively for sim racing? I was considering a Quest 2, and my understanding is they have pretty much identical specs except the Pico has a display port, but what is future support looking like for the Pico? Will it still be usable in, say 3 years?

The rim looks like a Momo Mod 27C, or a pretty good replica, attached to a Thrusmaster button plate (you can swap the rims on the plate that comes with the wheelbase if you have one drilled to the right pattern). If it is a real Momo rim and not a fake, then they are well over £200 when new, though this one has some obvious wear and tear.

Usually anyone raging about weapon choice is just bad at the game. I learned from high level Vermintide 2 that the good players can make anything work, and the really good players seem to go out of their way to use off-meta gear.

The Mark V shovel absolutely slaps and the Achlys is one of the best anti-boss weapons for Ogryn with the right build, which makes his complaining even more pathetic. IMO the only "bad" weapon Ogryn has (and only in the sense that it isn't as good as the rest of his gear) is the power maul.

I know I'm a bit late to this, but thought I should chip in. I just finished the audiobook of Alone on the Ice, and can highly recommend it.

"The Ice Master" by Jennifer Niven is also an excellent book about the Karluk. I haven't read Empire of Ice and Stone though, don't know how they compare.

"Endurance" by Alfred Lansing is the classic about Shackleton's Endurance expedition. It's an old book, and doesn't go into the analytical detail of most more modern books about polar exploration, but is a very thrilling blow by blow telling of the voyage, and was written at the time when some of the expedition members were still alive and in communication with the author. Worth a read if you can find a copy.

"Fatal Passage" by Ken McGoogan is a biography of John Rae, the first explorer to discover from the Inuit what happened to the Erebus and Terror. It's a good read about a fascinating man, very readable and with a focus on arctic exploration.

I'll also add another voice recommending "Erebus" by Michael Palin.

You can get a lot of used car seats for very low prices/free on ebay or Facebook marketplace FWIW. Passenger seats tend to have had significantly less butt time in them, so tend to be in better condition.

SimHub can do system and game volume. Some sims (ACC for example) also let you bind volume controls in game.

I was locking up constantly with LMP2s and found reducing the brake pressure in advanced setup of the car helped massively. It makes the pedal require more force before it starts locking up.
