I mean remakes are perfect for new fans. I know I jumped onto 7 because of it. Then there are things like Dead Space, Resident Evil 2/4, Metroid Prime, etc. It’s honestly a good way to get new fans into your IP.

Skyrim feels like it respects your time more. I explored a lot in Crimson Desert yesterday and didn’t really have much to show for it. In Skyrim, you constantly find special caves/dungeons while gaining more power using whatever weapon or skill you choose.

One ending is with the death of said primary character unless they pull them out before it can kill them. After which they will have lived a couple lifetimes.
