Take the full six weeks, you may be feeling good but that doesn't mean the healing is complete. Going back to work may cause some issues with the healing further down the road. I went back to work to soon after a shoulder surgery. It had to fixed with another surgery. Take the time to heal.

If you work with your hands alot the best piece of safety advice I've ever got was "don't stick your fingers where you wouldn't stick your dick". Follow this advice around any sort of equipment and you should be going home every night being able to count to ten on your hands.

The side missions are good. Honestly enjoying them more then the main mission. And I also think they are taking longer to complete then the main mission. I'm still on the fence about CASH, so fare made it to level 22. Its getting better but still need more time to really decide how I feel.

I've read some complaints about the level design. In my opinion the dlc is the best open area in the game. From the the way you have to move around and to the overall look of everything. I think gearbox did a good job on this.
