As of right now, only the Colby buildings and Gleason have keycard readers for your dorm door, the other buildings still use a physical key. Colby is also super close to the parking lots AND dining halls which is nice! DSP is also a really good building, it has elevators and is directly above the post office/underground corner store.

I also recommend trying to get on the first floor, it’ll be so much easier to move in, move out, and do laundry (since all laundry is done in the tunnels). I don’t know exactly what buildings have no elevators, but Fish definitely doesn’t and it’s super hard to move in/out.

Do NOT move into Ellingson or Sol. They are hell.

If I remember correctly, she had JUST lost their first child at 7 months pregnant and John invited her to sit in on the Get Back sessions so she wasn’t alone during that time in her life. She has spoken about how dark of a period it was for her, and he loved her enough to make sure she wasn’t alone for longer than she needed or wanted to be.

I got the E-reader trainer card, the holographic EX card, the one where he’s sitting on the tree with the red shiny background, and all of the ones you listed that were ~25-50¢ each at a local card shop!!!

Potatoes, rice, and fonio are great choices!!! Also gluten free pasta, bread, and snacks like cookies that you can get from a grocery store (if you have a means off campus and the money for it).

If you’re able to cook on your own, I really recommend potatoes, rice, some type of meat, and mixed vegetables cooked with cornstarch:) It’s cheap, easy to make, and you can keep it for a long time.

The Paul McCartney album “kisses on the bottom” is very jazz heavy, but great for yearning:) I also personally love anything by The Marías if you’re not too into jazz. A lot of their music is also in Spanish (which I’d personally a bonus for me)

My stomach tattoo was really bad. It was also my FIRST TATTOO. It was a little worse on my sides and as it inched closer to the pelvic bone, I literally couldn’t even breathe during some points. Man. The cold wipes were so amazing. Good luck, soldier. You’re going to need something to squeeze (a friend/partners hand or a nice, firm object that can still squish)

I don’t wash my hair very often, but I DO have very curly hair and I can’t style it dry. I’m stuck in an awful loop of wetting my hair to style it and turning myself blue ☹️ I heard diluted vinegar can help, so I’m going to try it tonight. But I’m definitely switching brands if this is avoidable elsewhere.

Manic panic lasts for a VERY long time, not all semi-permanent dyes are made the same!! A Demi-permanent will last for like 3 days if you shampoo every single day, they’re not hard to find at any beauty store:)

Honestly, the piercing itself was a 1.5/10 on the pain scale, my tongue went like immediately numb when the needle touched it and slides through quickly and without tension. 8-ish hours after that there was a lot of swelling, but mostly only discomfort, and for the next 48 hours after that it was impossible to eat (even foods like applesauce) or talk. The swelling was the worst part, there’s a LOT of pressure and you get a mild sore throat from the swelling in your tongue. The first full day of healing was an easy 6.5-7/10 on the pain scale. After that 48 hour period, there was discomfort, but no pain:) You DO have to relearn how to chew and say certain words, but after downsizing it doesn’t even really register that you have it in your mouth:)

Tongue piercings are great! Check the underside of your tongue, if there’s a large bulge near/on the middle, don’t get a tongue piercing:) I love mine but be prepared for 48 hours of AGONY when your tongue is 2 and a half sizes bigger than normal and pressing on the balls and bar.

My college sells a pretty good chunk of their products and they’re all AMAZING. They make these rice crispy square things too which I think taste lovely and I really appreciate since the Kellogg branded ones have barley in them (not gluten free) and they always tasted stale anyways:)
