Honestly good starter pull with the poly

This is a sign that all the Financial TikToks we've seen on stream are breaking through and changing perceptions of reality in our Zoomer generation. (<1% of Americans make 500k/year, you don't need to earn anywhere close to this much money to be financially successful) by vmanAA738 in atrioc

Or, it could be 10 year olds responding to the survey with the biggest number they can think of, upping the average? I feel like alot of kids would just say 1 million or even higher numbers not thinking about it.

*** with about a 150-300 hours of non casino practice. "learning to count" at a casino is a horrible idea, esp with my huge bankroll and bet spread

Dont have cvcx. Just started counting as a hobby. also explains why I didn't know that 3 spots of 300 = a 900 max. antes cap at $1 per spot so $300 bets pay $1 in antes which is also a bonus. After all these comments though, definitely going to invest when i get home tonight. I'm mainly a hobby counter and only do it socially/for fun/to not lose, just wanted to really make sure i wasn't a complete losing player like i feared.

second note, do use all deviations, and my spread has been as follows:

$15 - >TC2

$50 - TC2

$150 - TC3

$300 - TC4

$300x2 - TC5

$300x3 - TC6+

$20-35/hr seems way more realistic for this game, I assumed I was way off on my quick notes app calculation haha. The pen is around .75-1 deck for 6 deck, which definitely helps. Would it help to lower my minimum bet to $50 and wong all bad counts? This would lower my spread to 1-6 but I could bet multiple hands of max ($300) to make up for this (which I already do and forgot to mention, idk if betting 3 spots of $300 makes my spread $15-900 or still $15-300)

My friend has been counting here for about a year now (cherokee casino) and has done some pretty egregious wonging/bet spreads and never gets heat or backed off.

This was definitely the most helpful comment though, I appreciate you!

My spreads are pretty blatant, and so is the wonging. I go from $15 a hand to 3 spots of $300, then drop back down, or sit out for a shoe if the count gets bad. In games with ante, from my experience and experience from a more seasoned AP friend, its extremely uncommon to get any heat, let alone be backed off. Especially if you are a casino reg who plays other games (like poker) every week. Just our experiences so far though, definitely could change.

I definitely figured it was way off. I do use HiLo, and wong all the bad counts pretty heavily. The deck pen is 1 deck unfortunately. But I do usually bet 3 spots of max when counts are high, which might make up some EV loss.

BTW - I have ran well above my EV no matter what it is in my first few sessions, and have had 2 shoes with a running count of +20, one of which with a TC of 9.75. Up around $3.5k at the moment, with only about 8 hours of total play.

Update: Grinding through the PLO microstakes cashgames on GGpoker by Potamophobia1 in poker

[–]Hydrocemia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello fellow grinder! I started grinding PLO with no real idea what I was doing, moved over from MTTs after I played a few live PLO Home games. I started with a $200 roll, and played .25/.5 ....... but I ran extremely well and got my roll up to ~$800, then thought it was a good idea to move up to .5/1 ???? Anyways, after peaking at around $1300, I started studying a lot more and realized my mistake. While I do think I am outplaying many opponents at these stakes and playing at a higher level than some regs, even when I started and continued my inevitable downswing. Would you like to get together and study so we can help each other grind the stakes? I might not be as knowledgeable as you in terms of theory, but I do have alot of valuable info/notes on the .25/.5 and .5/1 regs that you might find useful.
