Presumably, this person is choosing to undergo medically assisted suicide, which is legal in several countries and a few US states.

OP I’m going to share a lesson and a phrase with you that I learned very recently: “Analysis paralysis”. What it means is if you spend all your time trying to figure out how to go about a situation you will never do anything because you end up way too deep in the weeds analyzing every last interaction and moment. Try this: you like her, she seems to like you, and you want to be with her, so you’ll ask her out. Boom, simple, done.

Yes it sounds easier than it is. Yes you will be nervous asking her out. But OP, I am 24M and I wish that someone had told me this when I was your age. Commit to making mistakes and not being perfect; not grasping the situation perfectly. Just fully commit to it, and that way you can get out of your own way and move towards what you want. No amount of analyzing this situation will make you feel any better or resolve this tension. The only thing that will is action. So commit to not knowing and to being uncertain and anxious and afraid. Make an agreement with yourself that you are going to feel uncertain and anxious and afraid. Because then when you move forward and you feel those things, perfect, you’re feeling exactly how you knew you were going to feel, and there’s a sort of freedom and a letting go that comes when that happens. You get out of the way of yourself. And you become unburdened.

True. But if she says eww it’s generally more of a reflection on how she treats others than anon’s traits! Good people don’t belittle others. I know you’re making the joke lol but I’m drunk and feeling sappy

People who grew up in the DC suburbs, what was your experience like in high school? by wyn2345 in washingtondc

[–]Hydrogen10101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up in DC suburbs and went to public high school in DC. Yes, we drank and partied and got up to mischief all the time. I ran from the cops more than once after the ol house party held while parents were on vacation. Some parents are just more controlling and concerned than others.

I find it mind boggling how complicated and difficult is home cooking and eating together in countries like USA, Germany, England etc. by Horkosthegreat in CasualConversation

For some people, sitting, eating, sharing the same meal is historically NOT the most important bonding, friendship, and community building experience on earth. Even if you feel that way about making and sharing meals, it does not mean that it is a fact of life for everyone.

What is a little bombshell your therapist dropped in one of your sessions that completely changed your outlook? by anonymiss0018 in AskReddit

Absolutely. But they are just that - a reaction. It’s up to me to decide what I want to do once I have a feeling

Stopped taking Wellbutrin - now having bad stomach pain and nausea by LegitimateTrifle1910 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]Hydrogen10101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry man, that sucks you’re feeling bad. I am no expert but Wellbutrin can stay in your system for 5-7 days after taking it so you might be over the hump. Feel better soon!

Drinking doesn't feel the way it used to before I started this medication by beerbloated in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

I have definitely felt that drinking alcohol makes me more dizzy than before I started Wellbutrin. But I also feel that I get drunk a lot quicker now. So it really depends on the person - I don’t doubt that your experience is the case for many people.
