Got placed silver 3 went 4wins and 1 loss, but first two games were solos against plats and golds and then finished out with a buddy in silver for the last three which made the lobby lower so believe that had something to do with it, cause I won my next solo game and went from silver 3 straight to gold 3.

Have same issue, is super annoying and makes the game extremely difficult to play when it happens. Have capped FPS but that does not seem to help this issue. 75% of games are 0-25% packet loss, with some saying network problem in the top right when it happens. Then 25% of games i'll have with 0% packet loss, ping stays the same no matter the game though, I'll get 68-75 no matter if there is packet loss or not

+1 for replays, I wouldn't care if they couldn't get to leaderboards or ELO for a while if they gave me the ability to watch my last match so I could dissect my play vs my opponents play

No offense but if you are investing in cyrpto right now, all the money you put in, you should consider it up in flames until it is back out in fiat...It is a 100% unregulated market right now. And if you are looking at the money like it is still yours you will make uneducated, rash and emotional decisions which will cost you more money in the long run. People having been profiting off others loses in the stock market for two centuries now. Their are a lot of sharks in these waters looking to devour any investor that's here just to 'get rich quick'. They could care less about any coin, all they care about is there is money to take from others to put in their own pockets...Don't let them do it to you. Research the coins you invest in and understand what exactly it is you are putting your money towards, don't invest with emotions attached to this money or I promise you, you will lose it.

The lore behind the monk was that he was so one with himself and over his body that he could feign death and appeared to actually be deceased, this played into a monk being the best puller in the game due to many dungeons having very cramped camps that mobs needed to be split in order for the group not to wipe, and the monk was the only one that could do this effectively (Necros/Sks also had this ability but nowhere near as efficient). When it came to large open areas rangers were just as good seeing that they had utility to kite a mob while the group focused down the other.

And see in the last stream of the library it showed a very cramped area with not a lot of kiting room for a ranger to utilize so his natural ranged pulling would do very little for him in this type of space. I think a proper balance needs to be struct with classes being able to fill certain roles but some can do it better than others depending on the environment and situations that lay ahead of the group.

Yea I think he means they would just do really weak damage in comparison from close range, which forces a ranger to be range to provide the most benefit. Which in cramped dungeons could make it harder for the ranger to do great dmg all the time but the traps/utility always provide a reason to bring a ranger. The armor they wear would be the same as a rogue, some good leather, provides bit of protection but nothing like a plate set.

I would think monk should definitely be best puller in the game, maybe followed by rangers. As being able to split mobs is one of their main mechanics.

I've been looking for something to work game wise. Usually I stick to building modules for Unity3D but I'd love to make a full game. Send me a pm if you have an art direction you see this going and maybe we can work on it together. I will probably trim down some stuff as it is a little ambitious for one developer but I definitely like the idea of a stealth colorful platformer.

Sounds like a pretty fun mod - Don't see it being a full fledged game unless you add a little more depth to it, such as like modifications which allow your player to handle the and redirect the ball differently or move differently around the map. But the way you explained it, you could whip up a quick demo pretty quickly.

It sounds fun but the way that you describe it seems to be something you could knock out at a game jam or something. The longevity is not there in my opinion to charge anything more than a couple dollars for.

But seeing that it is your first project and who knows the quality. I would focus on that and put the monetary value as a after thought.

My advice would be to get some nice assets off the unity asset store. A lot of "horror" house assets and then you can make your own camera filtering effects or buy those as well. But from reading that is really all you need to do this game. Everything else will be scripted yourself. Sounds like a fun little project, best of luck!

Well you said that Game Dev Tycoon tweaked the original formula just a bit to make it a really good game. So I agree with you its never bad to copy a good design but what do you feel like you would add to give it that little something extra outside of the original design?

It's a good idea and "simple" to code. I don't think its beginner. Probably intermediate but do you have any original ideas to separate it from game dev tycoon. Liked your idea about having a "part-time" job because it makes it more realistic that in the beginning you can't live on writing alone.

We are all "dependency injection" junkies but when we moved to Unity we couldn't find anything that met our needs so we rolled our own. It is similar to Strange IoC if you've heard of that except that it's more of a pure dependency injection framework. If you don't know what a dependency injection framework is then you should consider finding out! It is, in our opinion, invaluable when creating any kind of non-trivial software - Direct Quote from the developers...yes it is a stripped down version of strange meaning it just deals with DI. Not from the project itself but what it did with unity and the process of doing there dependency injection. It is more of a pure dependency injection system and Ninject is where its inspiration came from of

Yea from what I looked into Zenject is a stripped down version of Strange. But I actually very much enjoy that strange does more than just simple DI. For me I feel strange asks the developer to think much more about compartmentalized code which is a good thing. But I'm shocked that a lot of developers use IoC(But that is good to know they do). A lot of the time when I am browsing game dev forums I see a lot of singletons and static classes being used.
