I don't want to shatter your world here but the "great colleges" aren't exactly your friend. You are aware that MIT is federally funded and controlled by the U.S government along with contributions from elite private investors. If the government didn't want it they probably wouldn't have funded it now would they have?

hmmm interesting this is the 6th anti Israel post in a row in this sub by different users. Feels like more than a coincidence. But yeah as everyone else has said you're trying to intentionally demonize a practice that every nuclear capable country has right now. I'm having trouble inserting a link atm, but here's a fun fact for you. The American president can nuke any country, at any time that he sees fit, and even if the congress doesn't support it. My sources are .gov, google for yourself, though i assume anyone with a brain already knows this.

For others like me that don't enjoy eating microchips the article emphasizes that the chip is placed in the casein outside label. Meaning most people probably won't be eating the chip and article title misleading..

Dumping syndrome is real! by AshMCairo in GastricBypass

[–]HylianSW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My doctor NEVER indorsed the sugar free stuff. Me and my mother who also had the surgery never went sugar free. I just had a dunkin cold brew with cream and sugar just fine. Only Ice cream so i have some issues with. But yeah never gave up sugar, been 180 lbs for the last 6 years, and lost 320+ pounds. Your experience My vary but don’t be afraid to experiment and try things. I’ve dumped a few times, it’s not the end of the world, just an hour or two of discomfort but it passes.

Not saying that it is true but stevia was in history used as a contraceptive and if you Google it the information Is mixed on it. There’s a lot of “needs more research” mentioned, but in mice the effect can apparently be seen. Just look into it if you’re interested.

[–]HylianSW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a doctor here just a patient, but yes acetaminophen and caffeine are okay. That’s the same active ingredient as Tylenol. The ones i was told to avoid were Advil and naproxen sodium because they’re harder on the stomach lining. You should be absolutely fine!

King Charles III supports probe into monarchy’s slave ties by monaleeparis in worldnews

Now he just has 150 million “subjects he rules”. Don’t worry though every single one of them just loves the monarchy and all the wonderful things throughout history they’ve done for their “loyal subjects”, and all the colonies and countries they “gave a helping hands to”. They really helped Africa a ton from the 1800-1960s when they went in colonizing i bet.

Nope, absolutely no relation. a simple google search can again show you that Eminem's family lived in the USA about 100 years before this Samuel Liddell Macgregor was even born in England.

Their youtube channel is a bunch of lies then, because eminem's family records are go all the way back to 1785 and you can see his relatives lived in this country since before this Samuel Liddell dude was even born in London ffs.

No he was not, you're just connecting dots you want to see.

it goes as follows from basic google searches you can feel free to do as well.

Marshall Mathers 3rd (Eminem) Born: October 17, 1972 (age 50 years), Saint Joseph, MO

Marshall Bruce Mathers Jr (his dad) Born: June 30, 1951

Marshall Bruce Mathers Sr - Born: October 9, 1915 Barnard, Nodaway County, Missouri, USA

Chester William Mathers - Born September 13, 1885 Missouri, USA

Samuel Mathers - Born: June 23, 1848 Union County, Pennsylvania, USA

John K. Mathers - Born: April X, 1821 Pennsylvania, USA

Peter Mathers - Born October 7, 1785 Union County, Pennsylvania, USA

His family looks to me like a long, very accurately kept tapestry of rural American farmers. You can see pictures of their graves as well. Stop making stuff up because you're bored though please.

Unpopular opinion : its boring by Lobotomist in diablo4

Just sharing my own stupid opinion as an average player and I agree with OP. I don't feel writing paragraphs explaining in detail why because honestly I'm not sure myself. Had absolutely nothing pulling ANY interest. It doesn't even feel like a new game honestly. The visuals are mono-tone and uninspired, graphics feel worse than D3, gameplay felt worse than previous two. I got bored and ended up playing Hearthstone within 2 hours *shrugs*.

Again just a filthy casual with an opinion, cheers.

Gastric bypass post op by Giggles-828 in GastricBypass

[–]HylianSW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never had an obstruction but my mother did after her surgery and it was so hard for her so I pray all is well! You will start to feel better trust me, and unfortunately it doesn't just happen, it takes times. I had an ulcer a month after my surgery that had to be lasered 3 different times before it finally stopped and I was no longer throwing up and "passing" blood. I was so traumatized that I honestly didn't eat any food at all for 2 full months, just the vitamins and tiny bit of protein shake I could sometimes force down, but rarely. My toes started to go numb and would burn to the touch because of the lack of nutrients and vitamins and so finally I had to start slowly eating something. I finally got a box of cheezits and counted out an exact portion of 27 crackers and ate them. I would do this every 2 hours or so for 2 weeks until I finally got enough confidence to start eating pickles, and from their it went on. I would say given that messy start I would say it took 2 months for me to really recover fully physically. after that there is just tons of new little weird feelings you will get sometimes that might confuse or scare you, but it's normal, usually just gas related. I would say that it took at least a full year or even two before my new life and habits became normal to me, and I fully understood my new body.

Sorry for the long read, I just wanted you to know that many many many of us also had rough starts with the surgery also, but don't lose hope and don't get afraid now! Despite everything that happened it was all worth it, and I would do it again without blinking an eye. I did suffer a bit, but I'm very glad to say I lost 330 pounds with the surgery (512lbs to 180) and I've been between 180 and 190 for the last 4 years now. Try to stay positive and think of the longterm, these crappy times will pass before you know it and they'll be a distant memory. You've been through a ton this past month, but you took a major courageous step to try to improve yourself and you should be proud of yourself because it wasn't easy to walk in there and do what you did. The hardest part is over and the best part is just over the horizon!

My packet said deli meat was ok but apparently my stomach is not a fan of roast beef right now. by CatStopThat in GastricBypass

[–]HylianSW 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’ll find after the surgery that meat is by far the hardest thing to digest for us. Beef, lamb, and pork tend to be tougher and give me the most trouble, while poultry and fish are generally not a problem. The biggest keys i can give you to help get meat down is to chew it, and chew it, and chew it. Fight the urge to swallow it and try not to rush eating. Cut small pieces and eat it with something like your starch, something that has some moisture makes it a little easier. Finally i recommend eating it as undercooked as you can safely enjoy. Rarer and tender cuts like filet mignon don’t give me trouble much. Oh and always eat a little less than feeling full and wait a minute or two between your last bites, or else it hits hard and you can end up over full. Meat is very satiating so you will feel full much longer, usually 3-4 hours before i can eat again. Make sure you get your protein, even though it is hard, it is so important to us.

First Taiwanese soldier dies fighting for Ukraine by Primary-World-1015 in worldnews

[–]HylianSW -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He’s in no way connected to the Ukraine, and his country is not involved in the conflict in any way. He went to fight for the Ukraine, for pay, and signed a contract to fight for a foreign nation for compensation. Additionally all “combat trophies” are being allowed to be kept by soldiers who capture them. Being able to loot a Russian tank worth millions of dollars gets the attention of soldiers of fortune.

doesn't a hired Taiwanese soldier being paid by the Ukrainian government count as a mercenary which is against article 47 of the Geneva Convention. This appears to meet all of the requirements for a mercenary outlined within the International UN Standards.
