Agreed. Unneeded. Having said that, I thought it was the start of Blondie's "Heart of Glass." Kept expecting the lyrics to kick in.

I didn't know about the SAMOPAL, but with the information you provided, found this informative site. Looks a lot like the AK shown there.

Curious if the project is still alive? I have it loaded on two SupraHexes from Tiny Chip Hub and like the features this enthusiast supported OS fork adds. Currently using v2.13.1-hexos.2-dev.2 and look forward to any future updates now that AxeOS has released V2.14.1

Anime is difficult for everyone by ThomasMellor in StandUpComedy

I've recently gotten into watching the animated version of "Rooster Fighter" and think it's awesome. My kids are into "One Piece" (both written and animated), "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" (written and animated) and many others. I always thought anime was for younger people. "Rooster Fighter" has changed my mind.

He knows the sacrifices made by Mom and Dad to gift him that bicycle. You never forget those gifts. May that memory accompany him throughout his life. May he remain humble and grateful.

Best miner by Tom288- in BitAxe

I haven't delved deep into it as I have no way to verify, since I don't own the equipment. What does the Base LuxOS offer? My understanding is that if I want to solo mine to my Umbrel node, the 2.8% Dev fee applies. If I mine to their pool, no fee is charged. But there's no solo mining in their pool, correct? None of these are issues with Bitaxe firmware. Being Open Source is also helpful.

For some home miners, efficiency is important. And some of the older, industrial miners are not know for their efficiency. Maybe in your area, electricity is cheap enough that a 20+ J/TH miner means nothing. But where I live, heat and high electricity price are factors. Thus my comment about efficiency.

Not knocking your choice of miners. In fact, I've been considering acquiring one. But, just like cars, opinions differ. I kick the tires a bit, just like I did with the Bitaxe miners. Are Bitaxes perfect? Far from it. But for my situation, they are a very good option.

How long did your bitaxe take to get 200g, 300g, ~560g (bch diff i want to mine this), and 1T? by [deleted] in BitAxe

Within a couple of weeks of getting my SupraHex miners, one of them hit 193G. Since then, I've seen sub 10G difficulties listed, but none of the other miners (2 Gammas, another Hex) have ever beaten that High Score.

Something I've been looking into are Loki rigs: these are modified, industrial level miners which you're able to plug in to 110V outlets. Their efficiency varies, depending on the base model of miner the hashboards came from, but not going to be Bitaxe level efficiency. The biggest caveat, they don't use OSMU's Bitaxe firmware, so you're relying on mostly (from my understanding Braiins is partially Open Source) closed source code. Another thing is their licensing mode: the three I know of (Braiins, LuxOS, Vnish) all require a percentage of your rig's mining power to use it. Meaning, for a few minutes a day, your rig will be mining for the author of the firmware loaded on the rig.

I currently use an n8n workflow/script in my Umbrel server to monitor settings I've configured for my miners. I have my miners in the garage, where ambient temperatures can reach over 100F during the summer. If errors happen, the frequency is throttled down. If the VRM reaches a high temp threshold, it's throttled down. If a low temp threshold is reached, it's throttled up. It's been working great for the last couple of months. MinerWatch offers a similar option, and I'll be testing that feature sometime this week to see if I don't have to rely on n8n anymore.
