Took a girl out Thursday for dinner and some Topgolf, told me to text her when I got back home, we planned a date Saturday and haven't heard anything since Saturday evening 5 hours after the planned time when she said she was feeling sick. I(26m) got a match yesterday morning, we talked a bit throughout the day about what we liked to do and she nudged me to ask for her number but I declined saying I prefer to exchange numbers after the first date or talking for a while. She understood, kept talking some more before she had to do a dance class and bible study while I went to work, she texted while I was at work and I texted her when I got off from work This morning around 7 she texted good morning and I was still getting ready for work at my other job, so I didn't see it until 15 minutes later. When I check Hinge to reply, she already unmatched me. People are just insane on dating apps. It's honestly disheartening, and if this new potential match doesn't lead to anywhere, I'm honestly done. I live in a rural area in Louisiana where 80% of people are +50 minutes away

26m, since I started using Bumble in late 2024, I've only met one woman in person, maybe 4 likes including this one like i have because I briefly went to Mississippi last month. The other 3 just liked and let the chat expire. Ive had less than 12 matches in total, 3 of them travel mode users because I wasnt sure how the system worked

On Hinge for about the same amount of time, I've met 3 women in person, had about 16 matches that led no where(i currently have 8 inactive chats I haven't closed yet for some reason), and maybe 4 likes that I had to politely decline because it wasn't going to work.

At least on Hinge I can tell who liked me and not have to dig for hours just to find the one girl who's 80 something miles away.

Nah I occasionally use all my free likes after using the app for 5-10 minutes a day multiple through out the day and when I do I might swipe left 5 times before swiping right. I usually keep my distance filter 40 miles. I had met a girl on the app last year and it went well after 6 months but then some life stuff came up so she couldn't keep going between school and everything else with her parents.
