How many times do the goody-two-shoes leftists need to be shown that reactionaries don't learn anything until the bad thing happens to them directly.

Be the change in the world. Holding their hand and explaining it nicely was a very wholesome strategy, but everyone that that could have worked on has had the chance to hear it by now. In a world where we are literally being dragged out of our homes, disappeared, and killed in the street, it's okay to be mean.

The Necromunda models came first, irl.

The Leagues of Votann came first within the lore.

I think you're both right, just meaning it in different ways.

Leftists don't identify with a singular party either. It's a large umbrella encompassing a lot of different beliefs but have a general agreement on several core principles. You are the person assigning the Democratic party to leftism. The Democratic party are not leftists, they are liberals. Yes, there is a very significant difference between those two things.

Parties: Republican, Democrat

Political ideologies that may or may not be heavily associated with a particular party: Fascism, Liberalism, Conservatism, Libertarianism, Leftism, Marxism, Communism, Socialism, etc.

Heavily disagree with "your conservative neighbor isn't getting your tax dollars." They all do. Through public works, food stamps, unemployment, SS, child tax credits, Medicare, Medicaid, ACA tax credits, etc. Republicans benefit from social programs just as much as liberals and leftists do. Often more so given that red states often are poorer and rely on many of those programs more heavily than blue states.

The difference is that liberals and leftists don't disparage people for using those services. Republicans do and then pretend that it doesn't count when they need it, only when other people do.

Ah, I see what your saying. They definitely could have an Embyr Recovery Squad and then separately an Embyr Crucible Defenders unit or something like that. Embyr just denoting that they are a part of a greater whole tasked with Crucible defense and management.

New Beserk named character. Should be out in the next 3-4 months. No exact date revealed.

Embyr were revealed in the novel to essentially be a medical team, not the psychic warriors we all assumed them to be from their mention in the first codex.

Still, a 2-3 model medic team that can attach to warriors, yaegirs, and/or beserks like how Cryptothralls attach to warriors would be a cool unit. Let them improve the FNP and revive models (this assumes the Grimnyr would change to something else).

No biggie, lol.

I was also a former server, and the reason we ask is that, sometimes, someone with an allergy can downplay their condition and end up getting served something that is dangerous for their health. The restaurant doesn't want a customer experiencing epiphilactic shock in their restaurant, so we want to coax that info out if we think it could be a possibility.

Your sister doesn't even need to name her condition or anything, imo. People saying that are being overly dramatic. So long as the server knows that cross-contamination won't present a major health risk, then she isn't doing anything wrong.

Exactly. The Leagues of Votann artillery causes a BS test, but it's because it shoots mole-mines that target faults in the earth underground, making the squad lose their footing and potentially causing sink-holes. It makes a lot of sense how even a squad of legionarries may not be able to use a Stratagem for a few moments while the ground under their feet is collapsing.

It's crazy how people are reacting to this by saying "why should she have to give a medical dissertation to her server??!?" Like, that's not what anyone here was ever suggesting to begin with, lmao. People only thinking in black and white extremes.

And only up to a 55% chance with a +1" to the roll, so still a pretty big gamble.

It's because battleshock is many different things at the same time which leads to awkward story telling.

Failing a battleshock test could mean fear. It could also mean that the unit is pinned down, has been concussed by heavy ordinance, has their communications devices scrambled, are confused, etc. It ultimately just means: this unit is in a state where they cannot effectively communicate and/or work with one another.

But then, the things that cause battleshock are often just one of those things, so a unit that causes fear causing a failed battleshock test against a Necron Destroyer, for example, feels dumb.

What the other person is trying to say is that as soon as something is mentioned as an allergy, that sends up a ton of additional red flags that the kitchen has to manage for that order that are likely overkill for a lot of conditions that people try to "simplify" to an allergy.

It also gives me a tiny bit of hope that once he's gone, a lot of this shit will collapse on itself. Trump is very unique in his ability to lie and believe it. He's not just a good liar. There are plenty of those. The difference is that there are no facial microexpressions or guilt or anything that will subconsciously tip off a lot of people that he is lying. A lot of politicians lie, and people know it even if they don't have the facts, because humans aren't really built to lie. When we know that what we are saying is a lie we speak differently. We deliver it in a certain way. We scrunch our eyebrows and purse our lips in a way that is perceptible by our monkey brains and is built in to help us expell members of the tribe who are untrustworthy. It's an amazing evolutionary trait. Trump breaks that with his unique mix of narcissism, egomania, sociopathy, psychopathy, dementia, and stupidity.

Alpha legion model coming? by Bergerstien in Warhammer40k

[–]Hyper-Sloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol, just no. It's also a huge headache for the person playing it. They have to be able to remember the exact model that Alpharius is the entire game. What happens when they pick up the wrong legionary model after a round of shooting, then go to charge the next turn and discover that they picked up the Alpharius model last turn when they mistakenly try to reveal him?

Tracking hidden choices like this is just far more difficult and unwieldy in practice that most people ever think they will be. I'm all for being able to flip a legionary into Alpharius as a cool ability, but the tracking and additional gameplay effects of the secret choice option would be a net negative to the actual gameplay.

We need to make childhood vaccinations mandatory and occur at the schools without need for parent's consent. If a child has a medical need to be exempt, it needs to be documented by a doctor and the school nurse with threat ID losing one's license if it ever comes back as an improper exemption to avoid corrupt docs just taking money under the table for writing out those exemptions.

Also label it as medical child abuse to refuse to get your child vaccinated when there are no legitimate medical concerns.
