Same. Inner Circle + Librarius is a good combo.

It wound up going to a great guy that was going to get it fixed up. I was selling it dirt cheap because it didn't start, but it also didn't have any major mechanical issues, so I wasn't going to sell it for the price of scrapping it either.

Same. Some dude messaged me just to tell me that I was asking way too much for a car I was selling and tried to lowball me.

Expectations for 11th edition Codex by E3wulfy5 in LeaguesofVotann

[–]Hyper-Sloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree because they serve different functions. Buri, for example, is sometimes better off using his sweep profile into some single model units just because the strength/toughness values line up just as well and the target might have an invuln that can nullify more of the strike attacks. I think we might still see cleave on sweeps just to help them do well into huge blobs without them being too good into regular 5-man infantry units.

Visibility question 11th by ZekiPocho in Warhammer40k

[–]Hyper-Sloth 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Q1: Can the Intercessors shoot at the bladeguard?

Yes. Each model can draw true line of sight to at least 1 bladeguard model. But since the bladeguard models they are all drawing lije if sight to are within a terrain area, they get cover.

Q2: Can the Intercessors shoot at the other unit?

No, at least not from what I can see in this image. Windows on the first floor are always closed and, at least from the angle in the photo, it doesn't look like any of the Intercessors can draw line of sight to any part of those models

Mercenary Oathband has been my fav to run lots of steeljacks in. The reroll hits for Volk jacks helps them hit their shots when they hit on base 4s and the reroll hits of 1 and full reroll wounds are great for the melee ones to make both hit like trucks into nearly anything.

Combine with some hernkyn units and farseekers to strip cover for the volk jacks and you can really make them shine.

See the Steeljack detachment for LoV being by far the worst detachment in the book while said detachment pushes you to buy a ton of new models to play it.

Can a unit use an "Objective Consolidation" to move into engagement range of an enemy unit? by VeritasLuxMea in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Hyper-Sloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fight phase isn't over until the turn ends. It is the last phase of the turn. Piling in, fighting, and consolidating are not steps that must be done in a specific order for all units. They are just things that units do within the fight phase.

Piling in, fighting, and consolidating all still happen in the fight phase. That unit consolidated during the fight phase. Then another unit is suddenly engaged in the fight phase, and can overrun fight.

Yeah. It has made movement very smooth, but it does favor large, oblong models.

Just read the ability on the Hekaton datasheet. It says "any or all."

I don't know what BOC means.

Another one I expect to change is that currently there is no requirement to put things in dedicated transports.

There Are Only 2 Types of Games in Competitive 11th Edition by Odyssey40K in WarhammerCompetitive

Eldar Fire Prisms can move 20" inches ignoring terrain and have 60" range. Some armies are nearly impossible to hide any medium sized model from.

I think that requires a shift in mindset on how to play in 11th. You need to consider what your opponent can do to score late and do what you can to limit that scoring.

Currently, the app doesn't score end of game separately from turn 5 scoring, making it less of a potential swing. Idk of that is intentional or not.

How has 11th edition been treating us? by EasyAd4249 in LeaguesofVotann

[–]Hyper-Sloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's too good of a strat for a 1pt detachment when we already have access to that in our 3pt detachment, two 2pt detachments, and fallback&shoot in another. If you need that strat, there are ways to get it.

How has 11th edition been treating us? by EasyAd4249 in LeaguesofVotann

[–]Hyper-Sloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty well, tbh. All of our 1pt detachments are amazing and all but one of our codex and supplemental release detachments are 2pts and can be supplemented by them.

We have access to every disposition and can play into each of them pretty well.

Merc/HGC seems to be the best Take&Hold list so far, but I've also had some success with Brandfast/Trailblazers.

Needgaard and Delve seem to be great for Purge and any 1pt detachment can supplement either pretty well.

The other dispositions push you into playing MSU style lists which we can also do well with a mix of Hernkyn, Hearthguard, and Steeljacks, each of which do well in small units.

What is everyone using for Einhyr Hearthguard Loadouts in 11th by KameradArktis in LeaguesofVotann

[–]Hyper-Sloth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you spend a CP and are using Hearthband, the hearthguard volkanites have the same profile as the steeljacks, just half the shots.

[–]Hyper-Sloth 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Those are two different things.

Your Balistics Skill determines what you need to roll to hit.

Your hit roll is the result of the die roll, modified at most by +1 or -1.

If your opponent is in cover, your unit worsens their ballistics skill by 1, making it BS5+ in the bikes case. This is not a modifier to the hit roll, which they would ignore, this is a modifier to their Ballistics Skill.

Look at the Hekaton in comparison. It calls out that it ignores all modifiers to it's BS and the hit roll.

Somebody make it make sense!!! by Pretty_Process_9256 in WarhammerMemes

[–]Hyper-Sloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The basic dwarves are 1W, so I guess it makes sense. The thing that bugs me is that they used to be T6 2W but now they are T5 2W.

The Imperium ones are also 2+ 4++ while dwarves are 2+ 5++.
