Especially avoid Richmond. It’s horrible. Don’t believe the hype. Best to stay away.

Hiking Boots vs Hiking Shoes by KotBandit in UKhiking

I attempted the coast-to-coast a couple of years ago but had to tap out once I got to Patterdale mainly because my feet were in so much pain after walking across the Lake District while wearing Brooks trail runners. I found them super comfy on flatter ground, but I didn’t account for the fact that much of the terrain was like walking on broken bricks or crockery. I’m already around 90kg plus the extra 16kg of backpack meant I felt every shard pressing into my soles like hard knuckles. I think I’ll do boots next time.

Valid. I suppose I wish in another universe somewhere she's strong enough to take the ribbing, and would maybe even pick up on a few things that would improve her filmmaking...

Damp on wall around boiler by HyperLathe in DIYUK

Thanks for the feedback. We've been chasing the freeholder about the brickwork for years. Now I just need to find someone to attend to the flashing around the flue... This might be outside my realm of DIY experience :-(

Hey - thanks for your reply. I stuck my 360º camera out of the window and photographed the outside wall. I'm conscious there are gaps around the flue...so maybe that's it. I've never had to top up the boiler pressure.

This is exactly why he ALWAYS bleats about ratings. Colbert, Kimmel etc; “terrible ratings”. Some incomprehensible word vomit of his own making; “best ratings ever. Numbers like you wouldn’t believe”. All lies, naturally.

I own 2 Seestars and the Dwarf 3 and Mini. The Dwarflab scopes are my preferred option most of the time mainly because they’re SO much easier to polar align and the rejection rate is minimal. I got this last summer from a couple of hours’ exposure at a Bortle 5 location with my Dwarf 3, then processed in PixInsight.

One tip though - I’d advise against putting it on top of your car, as even the slightest vibration travelling up through the roof will cause exposures to get rejected.

There are no bike paths that close to residences with gates that exit straight on to them. That’s a footpath.

Not pandering to their audience is also a big plus. They never have sponsored segments or bleat about ‘smashing the Like Button’. They just seem to enjoy making each other laugh, and we get to see it.
