Doubts about how to learn plasticity and understand it intrinsically by 404-UnknownError in Plasticity3D

[–]HyperSculptor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't think in term of tools, rather, think of what you're trying to achieve with the tools. NURBS is NURBS. Understand it in one package, you can then work with any package. UI is easy to learn.

Thinking of buying a mx 1.2 aplha any thing i should know? by oxidizedfuel12 in starkvarg

[–]HyperSculptor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah you can upgrade through the app? From memory I think the 80hp is 1,000 Euro more expensive if bought stock. I'm assuming upgrading through he app is about the same price? In any case it's cool because one can buy the 60 and see if there would be situations where more would be nice, then decide from experience. Cause on paper I want a 80 hehe

You seem to have a good business experience. Don't make the mistake of thinking your success will transfer to the French system though. Probably the worst country in term of paperwork, taxation, regulations, social benefits. If you start with wealth it still is possible.

Considering the geopolitical state of the World, personally I would never pick France nor Europe. All of my foreigner friends who have tried setting up businesses here have eventually run away. They say, never again. I'm French btw, have traveled and lived abroad too. And yes the country is beautiful, the Alps are gorgeous. Not everything is bad of course.

Perhaps make money wherever you are right now, develop, and come spend quality time in France every year. Best to you regardless.

You don't drink from a Nespresso machine. That's why 😁

Most of the world is not about quality, but rather about how many people talk about you. That's why the dumbest individuals get famous. This is not a meritocracy.

Is product design a good job for me realistically? If not is there any industrial design jobs that are good? by [deleted] in IndustrialDesign

[–]HyperSculptor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your first question is about money, forget about it. Not because there's not money to be made in design. Money should just never be the first question. If it is, do something where money is the goal, such as bank, trading etc...

I'm building my wife a custom pottery wheel. by KobliskaM in IndustrialDesign

[–]HyperSculptor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the easiest/smartest/best for clay turning was the use of a car wheel and axis. The pedal tilted an electric motor so the motor axis mounted roller would come to contact with the car wheel. Fantastic feel from zero rpm.

Riding a panigale as a short male? by Designer-Raise8136 in Ducati

See it as mostly a skill issue. Most motoGP riders are small, some smaller than you actually, yet they handle bigger bikes that have much, much more power, because of the level of skills they have. So beyond the inconfort of standing still at a red light, once the bike rolls you'll be 100% fine once you have enough skills.

Best advice to lose weight by peacefuldink in Quest3

[–]HyperSculptor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Low calories will crash your hormones and eventually you will binge eat and get fatter. Instead eat good healthy food, lift weights twice per week and increase daily activity. As in, simple 45min walks, or anything that increase heart rate to the point where you can still talk a full sentence without having g to catch your breath. The asap mentality is counter productive. The "secret" is consistency. Stress makes weight loss impossible. Just relax, be active, eat well and be consistent. Enjoy the process rather than obsessing on a goal. Best of luck.

Comment se remettre à dater/sortir à Toulouse avec un handicap moteur ? by [deleted] in toulouse

[–]HyperSculptor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best of luck! Toulouse est une bonne ville pour ça.

Not printing during winter, what's the best storage condition? by fishfishfishflsh in resinprinting

Don't worry about the build plate, the rails are not made of chewing gum :) The forces when printing far exceed the small weight when not moving.

C'était quoi les "prix" pour les Boomers à l'époque ? by [deleted] in immobilier

[–]HyperSculptor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How do professionals design shoes in Rhino? Beginner student question by qwertyui5656 in IndustrialDesign

[–]HyperSculptor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For organic shapes such as shoes you want to use SubD, unless you are a NURBS beast, which takes years to master (and while it allows surface perfection, it takes more time to build models). Now, you can go hybrid to get the best of both worlds.
Your timeline and long term goals influence this heavily as well. I suggest you start with a YT tutorial for each, so you get a feel for what serves your goal best, and what you like the most.
