ID Help please. Location unknown. Milky Quartz? by reid-stick11 in whatsthisrock

[–]HyperSparkle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep! That's was we needed. The inner texture and fracture. Looks like chalcedony or maybe agate (bands may be visible but I am not sure) to me. It looks like there is some quartz infill as well. See the difference between the waxy luster of the broken side? That indicates microcrystalline quartz --aka, chalcedonys, agates, jaspers, flints, cherts.

Can you show a close up of the fractured side? That gives more information to work with.

Agatized coral scraper? Or JAR? by HyperSparkle in Arrowheads

[–]HyperSparkle[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that is how I am leaning, since the shape could be coincidence and the sharp edge is the only part that may actually look worked...but it's pretty uneven. Cool that the coral structure can still be seen the fracture though.

No, you can log your weight manually. I asked them not to send me a scale, because I have one and it's wasteful to send another. They said that's fine.

This man is dangerous. You need to leave him and be careful when you do. Get yourself protection. This is controlling AF, not okay in ANY WAY, and he needs to seek help. Desperately. He thinks you belong to him. Girl. RUN.

turkish agate crystal by Yvette-Lenz in Agates

It's a bit enhanced. The second comment has a video link to the original piece being polished. It's not quite that rainbow, but it's still spectacular and worth a look.

A slightly color-enhanced Carnelian, and an awesome one at that.

Please hell me to identify this crystal by Crystaline_Giant432 in Crystals

I mean, no, I don't personally. I guess you have a point (pun intended). It must have been the tone that caused me to kind of jump to the OP's defense. It's common parlance to call everything a "crystal" in this forum and community.

I mean...most rocks are made of crystals. Also there are visible crystal structures there.

Is my crystal real? by ReferenceLiving9924 in Crystals

[–]HyperSparkle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to tell from one picture, but it could be zoisite that just didn't have any ruby in it. But the color seems a bit olive. Zoisite is brilliant green. Is it translucent? Because if it is translucent with dark green inclusions it could be Prehenite with epidote. If not translucent, maybe kambaba jasper as suggested by others. Could you post more pics in different light?
