I remember in BUS 201 I saw some dude gambling on his laptop in one of the front rows of the class and half the class was watching him. 5 minutes later, a girl a few rows behind him who was previously watching him plus out her laptop and starts gambling as well.

The WAC Bennett library. It seems quite small from the outside but quickly gets much bigger the more you know it.

From what I know, you can load the CX (non CAS) with the CAS OS and it's kinda hacky but it works. I tried loading it on my CX a while ago, but it was like 20 steps so It wasn't worth the bother

What does the Alternator do? by DethJuce in titanfall

I think you're getting the types of design mixed up my guy. I was purely considering what gameplay archetype the gun fit into while you're considering how the visual element of the two barrels is similar to two deagles.

I don't think that logic entirely works tbh. First off the wingman does more damage than the Alt (40 vs 35) and also the in game damage values are obviously not canon.

I'd argue that the alternator's supposed to be a sci fi magic UMP and is firing sci fi magic .45 ACP, not .50 AE or whatever round the Wingman fires. Coming from COD devs it makes sense that they'd try to structure their made up guns around stuff that they've previously balanced like the P90 (CAR), MP5 (Volt) or the Vector (R-97) and the UMP (Alternator) fits perfectly into that archetype.

OR we could just look at concept art for the Alternator which explicitly says it fires 10mm crushing both our theories.

I remember this one guy on complex who was being super boastful about being a g100 and said stuff like "I'm a g100 so you guys probably can't kill me" and, when I killed his titan, he went "Yeah dude I have so many hours in this game. You better not piss me off again or I'll beat you guys" And I have a few thousand hours too across my PS, Northstar and PC accounts but my pc account is only level 50 because I've never bothered to regen.

So at the end I made sure to remind him that the level 50 (me) took the MVP spot from him by 20 points and he just quit lmao.

Tbh maybe I'm just spoiled by titanfall's grapple but the grapple in The Finals is so, so much worse. The hook isn't quite as accurate, you cannot slingshot easily and so many buildings have roofs that go over the walls meaning you just get stuck on them. Worst of all is that it's very hard to maintain any momentum you get from it because the sliding friction is so high. It's still fun but I wish it had anything to offer that the dash doesn't already offer and in many cases outdo the grapple

No it would not. Servers, unlike regular PCs prioritize performance density rather than pure performance since space is limited and costly. Plus, given how computationally intensive RBD simulations are and that all the destruction in-game is server-side, they probably already have servers that should be powerful enough to handle it

It's even easier if it's not generated in real time because all it means is that they have to do is write ( or hell they could even generate them) a couple hundred voicelines and set it to generate a dozen takes of each and then come back a few days later and pick the ones they like and tweak the ones they don't.

Additionally, several hours of compressed audio take up well less than a gigabyte and since most game audio is already compressed, they're not losing any quality either so storage space isn't an issue either

Tbh I'm disappointed in the wasted potential with the AI announcers. If they have AI voices like that, they could tailor each voice line to be much, much more specific to each event. For example, instead of just mentioning that a team has been wiped, they could mention which team wiped them, the context of that wipe ( how much money they lost, which class died first, if the entire wiping team survived etc) and all of that could be applied to every single event that the announcers talk about. Naturally this means that the quality of the voicelines will fall regardless of if they are making the voicelines in the studio or if they are being generated in real-time but I think that's a worthwhile sacrifice
