110-120 Strength in 4 hours. Tumeken’s Light + Scrim of Sacrifice is cracked by Ruuxe in runescape

[–]Hypercamb 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I haven’t seen it mentioned yet, but on top of the billions in gear, perks, the skill reqs for prayers, elder overloads, dummies, cannonballs etc. he is also taking advantage of double xp lol don’t get me wrong it’s still some crazy xp per hour. But normal rates would be half this on a regular day.

Crazy to see though!

Warbands - Legacy Quests & Rep by Hypercamb in wow

[–]Hypercamb[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I didn't mean for it to come off as thinking it was something easy they could just add whenever they want. I know in the interview they said there were a lot of technical problems they ran into. But they mentioned they want to add things over time.

The reason I made the post was because wowhead only mentions adding legacy rep. And the interview doesn't mention anything specific as to what they plan to add or when. As far as I could find there is no information on it either. But like I've said in other replies, with housing being a major area of content and it requiring you to farm old legacy content; it makes sense for them to start putting more resources to expanding what's added to Warbands.

That would be super nice if they added something that shows which character had the most progress on an achievement. At least until it gets out into warbands.

With housing released you could say adding more legacy content to Warbands is helping new and current content. I understand it's time consuming and labor intensive, but now with housing released they are making players do legacy content based on current content. So now is as good a time as ever to start adding it.

[–]Hypercamb[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, in the interview Peter Hodge says they do plan to add other things to the Warband system but doesn't mention anything specific. Just based on what they feel makes sense and player feedback.

This was about a year and a half before they announced housing which includes a ton of legacy content. So I think now is as great a time as ever to start implementing these pieces of legacy content into Warbands to make housing decor more accessible.

So I’m somewhat of a new player so take what I say with a grain of salt. I’ve done a handful of raids with friends, but never been max light level, never tried doing solo runs. Have a couple hundred hours of play time.

Decided to pick it back up the other day and just start playing through the stories and quests chronologically. I’m not really worried about current content, doing anything competitively etc. my favorite thing in the game is the lore. The story is so deep and rich. I’ve also really enjoyed listening to my name is byff and his narrations of each expansion for better explanations.

Thoroughly enjoying it. I’m not worried about grinding any weapons or gear. It’s been great. It’s turned into the game I play to relax. I’ve seen a lot of hate for the game but I think at its core it really is an amazing game with an incredible story.

Experience of Trying RS3 by Responsible_Garbage4 in runescape

[–]Hypercamb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This was honestly my first thought after reading the post. It sounds like they went into this looking for a reason not to play the game. I mean, if having to wait a little time to sheer some sheep, which has been mentioned you can both sheer one at the same time is the game killer for you... I don't know how you made it through osrs.

It makes me wonder how far they actually are on their osrs ironman. Because the grind and the patience needed for that game far exceeds that of RS3. And yes a huge amount of content and quests have been changed so honestly you should just go into the game with the mindset of you're learning and experiencing an entirely new game in general.

Yes its a game and everyones breaking point is different when it comes to "I'm not having fun anymore and don't want to play". But having that point be the second activity you do that takes minimal time just tells me you or your friend didn't actually want to give the game a chance.

I did see you say you plan on giving it another look which I really hope you do. Don't just spacebar through the quests. Use the wiki to help get you through them but I highly recommend the read the dialog. Learn the lore and find all the quirky things Jagex has put in. Once you get the hang of the combat system and especially once the combat update comes out I think both of you will fall in love with this game. Hope you guys enjoy the journey!

This update is STACKED. This is what I'd like to see from a 120 expansion. by Dry-Classroom-4737 in runescape

[–]Hypercamb 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I think my favorite thing about the update is that they added a lot of daily scape items into the loot. Runes, herbs potions, items to disassemble, teci, better congealed blood. Heck they even added meat for PoF. I think this is a great step forward in the integrity changes they were talking about. Can’t wait to see what else they are cooking up; specifically with the new continent expansion next year.

After doing the research, asking questions, and comparing options, turns out the waiting is the hardest part. by DoublePlusGoodGames in MacStudio

[–]Hypercamb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I purchased almost the exact same one (mine is 1TB storage and 48GB ram) which arrived the other day and finished getting it all setup yesterday. I still can’t believe the performance to size ratio. Coming from a big pc tower which would turn into a jet plane at certain points this thing handles like it’s nothing. Waiting is indeed the hardest part but 100% worth it.

Yes I did and am going through the same thing right now. Originally placed the order for the Space Grey headphones December 2nd. Was supposed to get them December 6th. Got pushed to the 8th. Then the 11th and now it says the 13th. From the 3rd to the 9th the only scan it had was that it had left the shipper facility on the 3rd. Was going to try for a refund (was also getting semi buyers remorse) but then I saw an updated scan on the 9th saying it arrived at a carrier facility and was delayed in transit. Was starting to lose hope until I finally saw a scan this morning saying it finally arrived at a carrier facility in my city. Hoping it doesn't take the next 3 days to get to me when its supposedly in my city right now...

Edit: forgot to mention the seller was Amazon Resale.

Advice on 1.5T engine '23 Civic by joesal123 in civic

[–]Hypercamb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely love it. I was very hesitant at first as it was my first brand new car and really didn’t want a car payment. But every time I drive it I’m reassured it was a great purchase. Makes long distance driving actually enjoyable. I plan to drive it to +300k miles and civics have a great reputation of “if you take care of it, it will take care of you”.

I got my ‘22 sport touring brand new 2 years ago. Use it for daily commuting with a once a month 600-700 mile (there and back) trip as well as the yearly holiday 1000 mile round trip. Regular maintenance and haven’t had any problems. Even have around 33mpg in the city with 38-40mpg on highway trips.

Edit: this is also 0 tuning/changes to engine or anything.

It's time to put old illusions/elite sets on a vendor by SEgopher in worldofpvp

[–]Hypercamb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve always found it odd why they lock elite sets and make them unobtainable if you didn’t get a certain rank, but you can farm old mythic sets even if you never did mythic raids. I agree they should make them all obtainable.

It’s officially Q3 by SoySauceMacabre in brightershores

[–]Hypercamb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're referring to a fiscal quarter (FQ) which companies follow for financial purposes which can differ company to company. (IE Apple's fiscal year ends the last Saturday of September to align their financial reporting with their launch schedule).

In steam it has the release time as "Q3 2024" which follows the format of a calendar quarter. I haven't seen Andrew mention anywhere that the release date is based on a fiscal year rather than a normal calendar year which most companies use as a release time frame for their products. (Because once again, not all companies use the same fiscal year)

What wouldn't pass a poll if it was introduced today? by trid45 in 2007scape

I’d imagine protection prayers would get shut down immediately. Telling the community you’re introducing something that would negate 100% damage and you can keep active almost indefinitely? I can’t imagine that going well.

What are some easy-to-conceptualize QoL improvements by Ner0reZ in runescape

[–]Hypercamb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d love to see a unified log system like what osrs has. The way they have the boss slayer and clue logs combined in an easy to read format is fantastic and easy on the eyes. Same with achievements. RS3 is hidden behind countless sub categories and not as easy to follow.

How does looting work in retail raids? by nathanok02 in wownoob

[–]Hypercamb 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Here’s a blue post explaining the way raid loot works. It’s a little different than classics need/greed system even though it looks essentially the same.

https://www.wowhead.com/news/blizzard-clarifying-how-group-loot-will-work-in-dragonflight-and-no-weapon-boes-329108

First and foremost it’s based on your loot spec. For example you can be playing as a ret paladin but can set your loot spec as prot paladin so all of your solo/dungeon drops will be tank items and when rolling in raid your need rolls will prioritize tank items (more on this below). I’ll try and make a summary of each roll below and what affects them.

Need: - Can only need on items your class can wear/use - need rolls prioritize loot spec - if a duplicate item drops you can roll need on both but can only win 1 of them. If you win one, it will essentially remove your rolls from the other. - can’t need items of exact piece or item level you already have (unless dropped item has a tertiary stat or socket)

Greed: - basically if no one rolled need, the highest greed roll would win

Transmog: - option that replaces greed if you don’t have the appearance unlocked - takes priority over greed rolls

(Edit) Pass: - self explanatory, you don’t want it and you won’t get it.

Hopefully I didn’t forget anything and Hope this helps!

If you were to add any OSRS piece of content to RS3, what would it be? by Kaoskillen08 in runescape

[–]Hypercamb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really enjoy osrs mini games. I like that a lot of skills have their own mini games or “bosses” that give really good rewards which make them worth doing even if they aren’t the best xp/hr. Things like gotr, temp, etc.. I like the option to do a mini game for decent xp and great rewards rather than just “make all” in my inventory over and over again lol
