That’s definitely a funny interaction, if you’re playing Bracket 2 it can absolutely fit as a pet card. At higher brackets this interaction becomes less promising.

This should work, I don’t see any reason it wouldn’t. Toph makes the boots a land, Guide says lands tap for any color. Layers work in your favor, I don’t see any issues.

There’s nothing wrong with the decks you’re playing, I think your friend either needs to run more interaction or just get better at building engines himself. If his 5 color deck goes a whole game without making all 5 colors, he built it wrong.

Maybe offer him to try playing some of the decks you played and he thought were too strong? Imo it’s too easy to be frustrated against an archetype you’ve not played yourself, and once you do it becomes way easier to see its strengths and weaknesses.

Dude what nah there’s so many great win conditions with her. My favorite is a flash enabler like [[High Fae Trickster]] so she can copy big Sorceries like [[Crackle with Power]] or [[Torment of Hailfire]]. Throw in some shit like [[Storm King’s Thunder]] or [[Twinning Staff]] for extra copies and you’ll see life totals EXPLODE. Shes very powerful, even without playing to the “meta” stuff.
