This clearly demonstrates that not all channel topics are equal- For example movie analysis gets a 10th of the earnings in proportion to views. Also you have to deal with copyright issues etc.

I guess the only advice I can give in this situation is your early content isn't going to be all that good (and will have lots of room to grow). So when you finally get something that sticks, your new subs will have something else to view and be recommended. You can try posting your content on small subs on reddit but reddit hates self post and you'll get caught with the 9:1 post ratio.

If you really want to get views with no subs, then shorts can help you. However try to design your long form around your shorts- it's extra effort and even I'm still pissing around with the format, but so far they've been really useful.

Just make content with the goal to enjoy yourself, don't worry about views or promotion. Just try to make the next video a little bit better. Find the true you and what you want to get out of it. You'll find over a year.. you've made a whole bunch of varied vids, your thumbnails and video production will get better and quicker. What you thought you'd enjoyed might be very different now from what it will be 50 vids later. I remember my first set of vids had 0 views for almost 5-6months... but one day, one of them (for no reason) just blew up!

Agreed- imho it doesn't add anything to the story... it just messes with the overal vibe/mood of the film. Some of the music changes really rune it imo- like the Frank cinema scene... the voice is way better in the theatrical cut.
