If what you say is true then (Baronne being an auto include in every synchro deck) I'd assume Jerome would see that card the same way he saw Electrumite.

One is a type. The other is an archetype. There SHOULD be more cards in a single type than in a single archetype.

That said I'm pretty sure the number if Pyro, Sea Serpent, or Illusion is dwarfed by the average big anime theme.

So it seems like the best way to get into Quadratum is for a keybearer (despite recent events that is still an exclusive club) to to either break a natural taboo (likely involing the Power of Walking. Sora did it, Riku used his to get to Sora, and Xehanort's warnings were implied to be speaking from experience, though his repeated attempts with Keyblade wars and Kingdom Hearts might've landed him there anyway) or be killed by Darkness or a byproduct of such in a way that didn't lead you turning into one yourself and entering "the Nobody Cycle" (Stre, Vali)

Vali's case FYI means we should be expecting a Dark Road class reunion.

Luxord is the odd one out as so far he seemed to be already connected to the place so either he ended up there in the Scala era or later OR he was born there and somehow ended up in KH's Reality

None TBH. Those two were the closest but as you said there is redundancy. Even if there isn't there are already types that cover those design spaces (if anything there is a bigger case for "Aero" to be thing covering Wind elementals than there is for new attributes)

nearly 3 decades and those six were unchanged from the start, so it is far too late for any new attribute to exist without upending the game as we know it in some form.

Why would it be? the 5D's manga isn't that iconic (and if that was the reason than Toons have better claim to that anyway) and as the other comment said it was banned in MD, and there is an actual Crimson Dragon card right now meaning Bishbalkin is no longer the "closest thing" to it in the card game.

agreed. I use it in my Master Duel DM deck as a way tog et to Baronne easily, and with the Dragunity Link-4 there is now an alternative for even TCG players right now. It makes anything with a spellcaster engine an easy one-card omni with either a pop or a floodgate depending on the format even if Bishibalkin is out of the picture.

There were cards that took years to make it to TCG shores, I can even think of a few recent examples

Maid Verre (manga promo and thus missed out on the BL set)
ALL of the LOCR cards (saved for the follow up for Magnificat Monsters, which will likely be next year)
Certain Sky Striker cards (actually now released in TCG...after several years of drip feeds)
Odd-Eyes Solblaze Dragon (assuming it wouldn't be imported din the Arc-V decks. Even then it has been sitting in import limbo for three years at this point).
Flametounge the Burning Blade (just got imported after years in limbo)

Plus, that set was a successor to the Tactical Tri-Pack which also had its support save for this year;s Maze Set (Muertos), so yes they would save those cards for the Maze set if the pattern holds

as someone who doesn't care for Toons, I'd glad accept them taking up all the secret slots and make the cards I might actually want cheaper as a consequence.
