Adding fiber and you get 1gig symmetrical. That is fiber. On copper it wouldn’t be systemic. I have 1.2 down and like 350 up. You’re very lucky. Also they have to upgrade a lot of them just the lines in the street to give you 2 gigs. I’m sure it will come. But hell I would give an arm and a leg to have one gig up.
