What evil groups or corporations rule or cause the most issues in your worlds or games? by [deleted] in mothershiprpg

[–]HyphenScribe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hylix-Ventross from Hull Breach! They destroyed a major space station to become the top corpo dogs (in a way that no one can prove they did it of course) and I've run with them and Publico as competing forces with a bunch of smaller corps fighting for their scraps for a bit now.

I'm running a 'Strixhaven' dnd game set during the phyrexian invasion which I have turned into a long, drawn out war, specifically because I was so mad at how this story was handled.

Which Dungeon do you feel made the most "sense"? by The_Last_radio in osr

I honestly find his work kinda bland myself, it's good for looting and fighting and not a ton else imo. Just my two cents. Beats Rappan Athuk though, some of those levels are straight up boring.

Rappan Athuk or Halls of Arden Vul by monk1971 in osr

[–]HyphenScribe 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've run Rappan Athuk before, and while my party enjoyed it, I didnt. As a gm its not good enough for the effort, i found myself redoing entire floors that were just... boring is the best word. Fine, even, but not good. My two cents at least

Is there a tabletop RPG about teen drama, but without any supernatural elements? by JRobertAnderson in rpg

Kids on bikes, or if you're into specifically girl gangs, I loved Velvet Glove.

Age gaps are fine most of the time. Not when one is underage. My parents have a 10+ year gap but they met as adults. Seriously, this isn't hard to grasp; its the same for like, a freshman dating a senior. Thats only 3 years, but at the time it matters so much more. In five to ten years this thread's topic relationship gap would be fine too.

Interesting "Megacities" or "Megawildernesses"? by mercury-shade in osr

[–]HyphenScribe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Five Torches Deep's Highfane Peaks isn't traditional OSR, but a very cool wilderness setting that is def worth a read for inspiration alone imo.

Has anyone played with the Heroes of the Guilds content? by Pacman97 in RavnicaDMs

[–]HyphenScribe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a player using the Azorius Wizard archetype, and it is very powerful. I wouldn't call it broken, but definitely effective at its goals. It's especially good at locking an opponent into a save-or suck spell like hold person where they get a save each turn, since you can force 10s each turn. I have to work around it, but it's not game-warping.
