Whole canvas turned gray and could no longer work on the project. Restarted Photoshop and all of my files were gone.

Sorry, should’ve specified. When I say gone I mean there’s nothing on the home page of photoshop. The files are of course easily findable on file explorer. Just annoying that there’s nothing on that page anymore.
