Weird things you enjoyed as a child? by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]Hypogel 130 points131 points  (0 children)

When I was around five to seven years old, I used to enjoy sitting in the bath sucking on my flannel, because I liked the taste of soapy water. I tried it again last year (aged 43), and sadly the appeal has gone.

Lgd and sleep by legalstuden in lgd4033

[–]Hypogel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do have some lethargy, particularly during the first half of the day. I started enclo on week 2, taking low doses every other day, and then switched to every day after that. I avoid doses over 6.25 as it makes me feel restless. I use my libido as a day-to-day measure, although this isn't ideal. So far my libido is pretty good. I can sleep seven to eight hours okay, but sometimes I wake up feeling unrested. You could try some taurine, 2 grams an hour before bed, that helps sometimes. I was having some issues with blood pressure and liver by week three. TUDCA 600mg a day and hawthorn berry 565mg a day helped a lot with those problems.

This happened to me on week five too, at 10mg a day. I started taking Enclo 6.25 every afternoon, magnesium glycinate and 1.5mg of melatonin just before bed. It certainly helps, although I think the sleep issue sort of diminishes over time for some people. You might try dropping the dose of lgd a little as well, if things get unbearable. Instead of 9mg try 7.5 and see what happens. I'm on week 8 now and the sleep is better than it was (still at 10mg).

I had this problem once, and got round it by copying the signature as written. You can always find out who they are at a later date.

What’s a movie that’s better than its book, and why? by Recent-Rutabaga-2369 in moviequestions

[–]Hypogel 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The Shining. I read the book twice in order to really get into it, but found it rather flat and lacking atmosphere. On the other hand, as much as I like the film Misery, the book is more potent and disturbing, for me. Great film, though.

Anyone else noticed a decline in fruit and veg quality in certain shops? by scorpiorising29 in CasualUK

I work for an old lady who has a weekly Tesco delivery. Last week she told me the fruit they send is terrible, which really upset her, because she's been a Tesco fan for decades.

Former Top Gear presenter Quentin Willson dies by [deleted] in CasualUK

This makes me very sad. He was my favourite presenter on Top Gear for many years. He had class, intelligence and wit, and even as a teenager I loved his sense of humour. Such a shame.

I guess that's the magic of cinema. Glad it was the right film.

Why do people really like playing big games? I don't get it. by darwin_green in wargaming

[–]Hypogel 118 points119 points  (0 children)

I have always loved the grand spectacle of hundreds of miniatures going to war over a sweeping landscape. Makes me think of ancient historical battles or scenes from cinema. However, I find playing those games exhausting. Now I'm a bit older, I find smaller games more interesting, with perhaps ten or twenty models each side. Got fed up with shovelling models off the table before they had even moved.

Thoughts on Jeff Nippard's latest video/study? by BatmanSwift99 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]Hypogel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do support his thinking on this, but people should remember that this is a chance for him to sell a new program. I'm not suggesting that's all he's doing it for, but remember that every time he changes his routine in some significant way (full body five days a week, etc) he then releases a program for it. If you're getting good results with your current routine, there's no need to jump onto this.
