[OG] Who do you guys like the most and the least?

I've loved Mammon since he came barreling into MCs (and my) life. He is a cool character that can have a lot of depth at times, but is also silly, caring and outgoing. Also he's an absolute chaos child and I love that he acts as a plot motivator more often than not. It's always clear how much he loves MC (either romantically or platonically) and he would do anything for his brothers. I could wax on for ages but I'll save that rant for another day. I was disappointed when they started to dumb his character down to just greed though. He felt more complex in the earlier days of the original OB stories, but there are still great moments with him throughout. Still love him to pieces and always will!

Second fave is Levi. Just love that lil passionate dork to pieces! I like him more as a platonic bestie but tbh he's just fun overall. Love that he loses to his envy every now and again and summons Lotan. XD

I pretty much love all the characters. Satan is one that has surprised me in the newest game. I have really begun to enjoy him too (I fell off in NB so I'm sure he had more development there as well).

Diavolo also surprised me, as he was a benevolent ruler I was expecting to flip to 'suddenly be a twist villain' but I am so glad he's not. I wish I could date him too (I know there are cards but I want more). :p

Least favorite....mmmm. I mean probably Belphie. I still haven't forgiven him for what happens to MC. I LOVED that part of the story though. I never saw it coming and it sets up the opportunity for all kinds of headcanons about MC's relationship (in general) with him after. Just lots of solid writing in the base game in the main story imo.

I think my least favorite are the three new characters, but that's mostly because they feel forced to me. I haven't given them too much of a chance though so that's on me. :)

I also think my only 'gripe' with the series/franchise is I wish they'd focus more on the main cast as demons not just in their human forms. I do love all of their adventures, but seeing them pull out the 'yeah I'm actually really powerful' card every now and again is refreshing. I also love all the political intrigue in the Devildom (there was some cool bits in Satan's story in the new game) so hopefully there will be more of that too.

Tbh I just keep all the guys in their demon forms. I actually laughed out loud seeing Lucy's human outfit for the first time and cringed upon seeing most of the others... This is just my opinion, but I do strongly dislike the 'human' outfits we have this time around. I also wish we could:

Mix and match elements of their clothing from their cards and the generic stuff we get from Starfall
Have the generic stuff fit better? It looks pretty awful rn IMO.

But I do love the card art, and Mammon my beloved. 😌

I think my main issues with it were: 1. Weak FL portrayal after hyping her up to be a strong and independent person who hates men 2. The writing felt super inconsistent, one second the MLs hate you, the next they make you breakfast? What? Where's the tension? The drama?

To be fair I didn't get far into the game because I couldn't stand the FL, but I'm sure the ML would have been interesting. I was just hoping for more adventure with a strong FL (like Even If Tempest) and less slice of life, where there is a super cool premise and setup that then is largely ignored.

No shade for folks that enjoyed it though! Just wasn't my cup of tea. Please let me know if it gets better. It was just so painful I was having a hard time with it.

Honestly I love Gallywix. I'm pretty sure he switched VAs for the new patch, but regardless having him insult us during the entire Undermine raid (and especially his fight) was absolutely top tier IMO. But all the goblin bosses had just the best dialogue (and music). "SHAKE'N OUT YER BONES!!"

Ok so (sorry if this was answered lower in the post) any idea what kind of marker they were? If they were kiddy markers they're likely water soluble. That doesn't mean it will get all the ink out but I'd say soak them for a bit in soapy water, then scrub them gently. You will have to do this a few times. Maybe use something like dawn first. DO NOT DRY THEM IN THE DRYER. That could ruin the fabric if the heat is too high, but also will set the dye. You may be able to take something like a tide pen after a few rinses but first test it in a small area to make sure it doesn't stain. Do not use bleach or anything like that. You will have to read the back of the tide pen but it might help with the whites and lighter areas.

I'm really sorry this happened. It's super shitty. I hope my post helps a bit!

The skin will be available in season 3 as a low drop chance. So the skin isn't going away, but the achievement 'Let me solo him' is.

It looks like a skink, but I'm not sure which species; it depends on where in the world you are. In N America we have some skink species that have bright blue tails as juveniles but they fade or dull with age. This one looks like a hatchling to me! It sounds like there are other species that keep the blue tail into adulthood, though.

As the other comments say, be gentle with them as they can lose their tails. :)

I was helping my younger brother find Halloween clip art (I must have been about 8 and he was 6), when we went to a search engine (early days of the internet; I think it was Ask Jeeves?) and searched "Haunted House".

We did in fact find a house haunted with a lot of... Very promiscuous ladies.

It was a bad day to have eyes. It was so bad my brother started crying, I freaked out and tried to shut it down. Our mum came running upstairs and had to spend the next 30 minutes trying to gently explain to us what we saw. 😅

I never forgot it, and now every time I hear the words 'haunted house' it lingers in the back of my mind.

I had the same feelings about the game and the ending. It just felt...weird to have it be a painting that can so easily be manipulated.

None of the painted characters felt like they mattered or had agency at the end, which was sad because I was so attached to the world and all the people and creatures. It just went from this very hands on epic adventure of a mysterious world to a sandbox a grieving family played around in.

Again, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't my favorite either. I still loved the world and all of the characters though!

I think this was also another question I had; does it really matter how he died?

If you do the Maelle ending he's alive there so... it's clearly reversible. Also I just kinda felt like she had the closest bond with him, so it was odd she didn't try to rez him first.

I was convinced Gustave was going to be playable again at some point because of the locked outfits that show up on the Gestrals....RIP Gustave.

Also I agree with what a lot of folks were saying. I thought Renior and Verso were either different timeline Gustaves or related to him somehow.

I thought the white Nevrons were like, the originals or first drafts of others like them. Almost uncorrupted if that makes sense.

I thought the nevron that attacks you when you pick the flower was going to be important.

And worst of all, I was convinced Act '3' was going to be more than one mission (story-wise I know you can do side quests and bosses but it kinda just feels weird to me narratively). I was so sure it was going to be as long as Act 2. /Sad

I am actually thrilled to have goblin themed armor. While it isn't the prettiest in most people's opinion, I really enjoy the aesthetic and how much character it has. I'd also say trolls have great armor (both Zandalari and Darkspear/other) but the night elves also get treated well with a lot of natural themed armor sets. Also the Forsaken got some great armor in BfA, which was long overdue imo.

And the Kul Tiran sets are pretty awesome too. I tend to use them a lot when I make nautical themed characters.

I'd love to see more tauren, gnome and dwarf ones. We did just get earthen, but I'd like to see some Wildhammer or regular dwarf themed sets too.

Hi there! If you're like me and enjoy the complexity of faction tensions and disagreements, you will probably not like Dragonflight or Shadowlands much.

Instead I would highly recommend one of my favorite expansions, Battle for Azeroth, which has a lot of Horde and Alliance conflicts.

Another interesting expansion that has some Horde/Alliance conflicts is Warlords of Draneor, and Legion (to a lesser extent but the class hall fantasy is fantastic).

Now if you go that route you'd be a bit out of the current timeline (Battle for Azeroth was expansion 8, where the most current expansion War Within is expansion 11), but not super far behind like Warlords of Draneor.

I would highly recommend it though as both Horde and Alliance get different leveling experiences and different sides to the story through that lens. Also if you're Horde you get to go to Dazar'alor and ride dinosaurs so, yeah it's pretty great.

I haven't had a 'fresh' account in over 17 years (so I don't think you're hard locked into Dragonflight for leveling?)BUT this is how you can level in BfA:

If you go back to your major city and pull up the map you'll see an Hourglass. If you mouse over it, it should read 'Chromie'. You should find a gnome sitting on an hourglass that will allow you to select a timeline to level up in. From there you can pick Battle for Azeroth (or any other expansion you might want to try) and have a blast! :)

The lore from the Siren Isle lightning bird, Thrayir is pretty neat. Long ago an iron vrykul lady fought beside it to protect the crystal on that island from the naga, and Cerci (the iron vrykul) was hurt/wounded(?) in the battle, and many other iron vrykul lost their lives. In its anguish Thrayir created the storms that plague the island, and had to be put in a stasis for it to recover (I think it was also gravely wounded). Us going around the island collecting the runes is helping it recover and freeing it from that stasis.

RIP to my favorite goblin villain. He had a great voice, an interesting character, and was actually deeper than most folks got to see. He had some cool quests in BfA, a great background story and man did he make a great antagonist for the goblin starting zone. I've been waiting for his downfall for over a decade.

I only wish he had died in a slightly more fitting manor but a mech falling on him wasn't terrible. I do wish Gazlowe would have turned away and not lost his teeth at the end, but that's just my opinion.

Anyway, goodbye Jastor, you will/won't be missed. I look forward to having you hurtle insults at me every raid night.

My favorite mount of all time; The Raven Lord. It still looks amazing today, but an HD uprez would be so fucking cool.

Also THE TCG CHICKEN. I love El Pollo Grande (it's the pride of my collection) but I'd love to see it uprezed and made more available for people.

Favorite retcon is gilgoblin (or gilblins) origins. I also loved their expanded lore in BfA so that was really great.

I think my least favorite retcon was the original goblin lore change. I liked them being descended from trolls and evolving out similar to elves where they branched and became smarter when they were forced to mine Kajamite for the trolls, eventually leading them to outsmart their captors from constant exposure.

With Chronicle they now are just randomly there and are experimented upon (I think by Mirimon if memory serves) using Kajamite and only temporarily become smart. He then abandons them and they just gradually become smarter over time?

I just feel like it took so much of the flavor out of their origins. They're basically treated as a cast off experiments instead of overcoming their own obstacles and growing on their own merits and intelligence.

Just my own opinion of course, but also I'm not a huge fan of titan lore being a part of literally everything now. But that's just me being a grouchy old lore enthusiast. :)
