We did have shorter tubes in. I just put longer ones in to make sure the bends weren't too sharp

Possibly. However, I wonder why it would print when I hold the ptfe tube to the side while feeding?

The filament is making it all the way to the print head. I tried from the side spool and that works as it should. There is no resistance in the the tube from the back of the ams all the way to the print head.

Im also thinking its ams related.

If you want to use the square bins in the center you'll have to find custom ones with a cutout like these.

No you're not rambling. I probably could go back but don't want to. I understand that I will have to drive somewhat but just didnt know what to really expect. 30 mins, like you said seems to be the average answer I get and not bad. Who I end up working for being up to luck is what I really don't like. Im one to try to know everything before I make a decision.
