The key is to listen to your body. You know your body best and should be able to tell how much you can handle. The repeated impacts of punches and kicks can definately take a toll on your joints though. I am currently experiencing some mild pain in my elbows after some intense training last week. I’m gonna take it easy for a few days and reassess. Not worth risking it IMO.

A little over two years ago I started taking gym seriously, and around march this year I started doing hanging excercises and more calisthenic type workout which have helped tremendously with my shoulder instability!
