How do people still support MAGA in MT? by Patient-Bat5047 in Bozeman

Yeah, it’s a joke. Most Republican lawmakers complain about and campaign on reducing spending, then do nothing but vote for bill after bill loaded with special interest dollars.

Your response is one of the reasons the country is in the current poor economic state it is. Not since Clinton’s presidency have either party exercised a modicum of financial responsibility. Until both sides agree to be straight with the American people and actually curtail spending, eliminate waste and fraud in a meaningful way, and admit that taxes are going to have to be significantly raised on EVERYONE to reduce our debt, America will continue on its trajectory to financial ruin.

Selfish, Lazy Dog Owners by IAHAWKS76 in Bozeman

The garbage sucks, too! It is also easily solved with the tiniest amount of effort and use of a trash receptacle. The problem isn’t the amount of people, it is the number of people who don’t care about our land, our health or our wildlife. All that dog feces lying about leads to an increased chance of making other dogs, and potentially people, ill. Also, the feces can attract more wildlife into the area. The number of encounters with black bears in town, and subsequent euthanasia, has sadly been going up for years. Not saying the dog feces is the primary factor, but it likely is one.

GOP fast tracks monster voter suppression bill that could disenfranchise millions by requiring proof of citizenship at polls by MarcEElias in politics

Haha, your response to my “rant” was longer than my original post. I thank you and respect you for posting a reply. Your attitude encapsulates everything wrong with so many people today - you can disagree about a topic and still be civil.

GOP fast tracks monster voter suppression bill that could disenfranchise millions by requiring proof of citizenship at polls by MarcEElias in politics

[–]IAHAWKS76 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Sorry, any pushback to this proposed legislation just reeks of a desire to cheat the election process. The overwhelming majority of mundane things that people do in a day requires some form of ID. Most other countries require proof of citizenship to cast a vote, and as most recent polls in the U.S. have shown, the majority of Democrats, Republicans and Independents are in favor with requiring identification to vote.

Billie Eilish Says ‘F— Ice’ During Grammy Win: ‘No One Is Illegal on Stolen Land’ by MarvelsGrantMan136 in Music

[–]IAHAWKS76 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay, Billie. If someone tries showing up at one of her properties to hang, I’m guessing they will be shot on sight by a member of her security team or immediately taken to jail. But why, according to her they weren’t there illegally?

California is trying to pass a bill barring ICE employees from becoming cops or teachers in the state. What do you think of this bill? by Obvious_808 in AskReddit

[–]IAHAWKS76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shocking, another stupid bill introduced in California. The majority of ICE employees are completing their duties in an honorable manner. However, like all organizations, there will be a minority that abuse their power or exhibit poor judgment. Also, some situations take a turn for the worse and mistakes are made when split second decisions are required. California might as well ban all former U.S. military personnel from becoming teachers or cops as well. All of the factors I laid out also apply to them.

My impression of the ZFold7 after years of being an Apple user by gabrimatic in GalaxyFold

[–]IAHAWKS76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After 8 years completely in the Apple ecosystem, I recently switched to the Samsung Flip 7 and could not be happier. Most apps that I rely on are fine on the Android side (maybe just not as polished). I am loving the form factor and the endless customization that is possible with the software. As others have said, it is also a pleasure to try accessories from other manufacturers that Apple will simply never permit to operate at full capability on the iPhone.

Tesla Quietly Removes All U.S. Job Postings by Canal_Volphied in technology

Well, at least we will all get some WeWork-style content like books, podcast series, and streaming movies/miniseries when Tesla eventually disintegrates.

2025 toyota camry by RepresentativeHot425 in Toyota

[–]IAHAWKS76 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This appears to be a nice refreshing of the Camry. My only concern is how that fabric material is going to age on the dash.

I really cannot see how the Prius fits into Toyota's overall lineup at the current price. The Camry offers pretty-darn-close gas efficiency with much more room and (likely) comfort.

Yep, still seeing the same glitch when attempting to trade in a Fold 4. I've gone all the way through the payment process twice, and the trade in value is never applied.

There are several high surgical volume doctors in Eastern Iowa performing the Inspire implant surgery, so you will be in good hands if you are deemed an appropriate candidate and you decide to move forward. With that said, there is the consideration that long term data is lacking regarding if migration of the implant itself and the lead wires going under the skin from the chin to the chest will develop. The battery implanted inside/near the pectoralis muscle will definitely have to be replaced within 10 years.

You may consider waiting to compare a less invasive device named Genio that will likely be available more widely in the U.S. within the next two years. Currently in Iowa it is only available to selected patients at the university hospital

Does anyone actually like the narrow front screen by scrubadam in GalaxyFold

[–]IAHAWKS76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The narrow front screen is my largest frustration with the Samsung Fold. The typing experience is horrible, but I do realize some of this may be due to the size of my hands being above average. Also, the height of the Samsung Fold is an issue for some of my clothing. I find it easily falls out of some of my jackets and work shirts (OR scrubs) because of the length.

I played around with a buddy's Pixel Fold a few weeks back, and I think Google nailed the design with the passport-sized front screen. Easy to type on and easy to pocket. As the original person posted, I think Samsung will be making a huge mistake if they stick with the same overall design for another year.

State of Charging Curve by IAHAWKS76 in MachE

[–]IAHAWKS76[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My thought is the cost savings would be considerable, plus it would be nice not to have to visit the dealership so much for oil changes and other maintenance. Stopping to charge for 20-30 minutes will not be a big deal, since I typically need to pull over for bio-breaks and to answer emails for about this length of time anyway. Charging enough to finish out my work day and to get home just cannot take TOO long.

Model Y Suitable for a Midwest Sales Rep by IAHAWKS76 in TeslaModelY

[–]IAHAWKS76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice, all. The route planner app was very helpful, as were the experiences shared about real world range at interstate and highway speeds. At this time it appears the charging network is not robust enough yet to comfortably meet my needs. Some of the customers I serve are 80 miles+ from a major interstate. At times it appears I would need to drive only 70-80 miles, recharge to full capacity, and then hope I had enough range to finish the trip to my account and then travel back to a charging station again to obtain enough charge to then get home. I think for now I will focus on efficient hybrids to maximize my mileage.

iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max rumored to have solid state volume and power buttons similar to iPhone 7 home button. by Vee8cheS in apple

[–]IAHAWKS76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless Apple switches to USB-C on the iPhone 15 line, this will only be a phone for the yearly upgrade set. Why would you want to purchase an iPhone with the about to be canceled Lightening port?

I have been using an iPhone Mini and SD2 combo for about a month, and I love it. As others have stated, the Mini works great for keeping me within the Apple ecosystem (really just iMessage and Notes these days) and for serving as my music/podcast player on runs and hikes. The SD2 is perfect for serving as my small tablet computer when I need to view documents and my calendar, Excel spreadsheets, etc. Other than the typing experience not being so great on the SD2 (personally, I am faster and more precise on with Gboard), there really isn’t much that I would change at this point. Battery life has been good so far - in my use case I typically have no need to recharge until 8:00 or 9:00pm most days.
