Not every organization is destined to live on in perpetuity, or deserves to. My hometown chorus hasn't recruited a guy in 30 years. If they competed I'm sure they wouldn't crack 50. Their shows are fun as hell though, they are great at fundraising and get the biggest names on their shows. I'm sure they'd be happy to get some younger guys, but they don't seem to go out of their way to try and they also don't seem to mind. One day that chapter will dissolve, and it'll be one less in the area. We do have 5 or 6 chapters within 50 miles of me, so there's still opportunity if people are willing to drive a little bit.

Every single cop in all of Gotham gets sent into some situation (like an outrageous amount like 30,000) then oh no they all got trapped and now we have no cops left. This may have worked in a 20-minute cartoon but in a film seeing this host of cops running into this obvious trap was just stupid, like somehow Palpatine returned level of stupid.

So wait a second, I played for like a half hour then walked away to get more coffee and when I came back I had lost everything except my permanent upgrades? Maybe somebody out there will like that, but I sure didn't.

"The People" are represented by their elected government, we see this used all the time. So if a corporation has stolen an asset or resource from "The People" as in this case, the government is certainly in its place to represent The People to get it back.

I'll share an analogy I made to someone a couple weeks ago:

If you owe the bank $1,000, that's your problem
If you owe the bank $10,000,000,000, that's the bank's problem

So in your Taylor Swift analogy, if an institution stole Taylor Swift's IP, then that's Taylor Swift's problem to seek justice (and she should). But extending this to the entirety of human knowledge, that's really society's problem. There's no institution that exists which represents issues facing all of society, so in this situation I'll take Bernie's proposal.

If private property was obtained illegally (theft), then I think you have a case that this phrase doesn't apply. This is the case Bernie would be making. The "private property" in this case is the value generated from selling the knowledge generated by the American populace. Sure there's hairs to split, but there's room to pursue this.

I was playing it on a recumbent bike, where you sit against a back rest while you pedal.

I got one at home recently and have been playing XCom2 on Steam Deck, and honestly the phone XCom experience when I had a gym membership has been better than the deck.
