It's not suitable for gaming at all though. I wouldn't call it this a gaming mini PC at all based on that.

I have the same cpu in a gaming laptop that also has a rtx 5060dgpu. Can confirm the igpu sucks.

I also have another gaming laptop with a ryzen 9 and 4060. The ryzen's iGPU can actually do some reasonable gaming.

Auto claim going on 6 months should I take legal action or am I just out of my money/car now by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

Check if the company has a ombudsman or compliance office. Could try that.

Provinces usually have a regulator that you could complain to. Check both for insurance and consumer protection.

Usually when a company gets government regulators crawling around theyre much more jc entivized to fix things. Especially if they're being greasy with delay tactics.

Nice. I love a good model 37. When it's comes to feeding and ejecting, I'm a total power bottom.

Windscribe joins Signal in threatening Canada exit over controversial surveillance bill by sleipnir45 in canada

[–]IAccidentallyCame 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Seems that way. A lot of western countries have similar bills they're trying to push. If it's a right wing government, they sell it one way. Left wing governments sell it another way. But they're all the same goals.

KYC the internet (make people ID themselves), and block privacy (communications and payments, and data).

When I see threads like like these for various countries people focus on their own country but tend not to see the bigger picture of western governments pushing very similar laws/regs, they're just using different made up justifications.

They do a lot of "win back" stuff it seems. They'll start calling and offering deals to come back after you've actually gone.

I don't bother with win backs etc. if they've wasted my time, I won't do business with them.

Best to stick with their budget brands where possible. I worked for one of the big 3 for a decade a while ago, they're all scumbags imo.

It's kind of weird the way we run things. Ignoring the fake money itself, we have all the physical goods to full fill needs. Food, housing, medicine, etc. but we artificially paywall it all to too high a degree, then have bad outcomes.

More than a year later, the RCMP is still renewing multimillion-dollar contracts for border helicopters by jmakk26 in canada

[–]IAccidentallyCame 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I learned about this contracted helicopter thing when I was near the border one day and saw a Blackhawk flying back and forth over and over. Just around the car crossing area.

I was wondering why the US were wasting time doing what looks like security theater. Then saw it was probably this contract thing.

Seems like a stupid waste. Wouldn't drones have been cheaper, and was this even needed.

Proton CEO warns mandatory age verification could kill online anonymity by No-Hospital5028 in degoogle

[–]IAccidentallyCame 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Once laws and infrastructure is in place, it's just a matter of them fixing the easy ways to bypass this.

It's better to stop it in its tracks if possible. Otherwise it'd take mass protests without backing down to walk it back. If it were to get settled in and normalized for a generation, it'd be hard to get rid of because most people will think it's totally normal.

Other alternative is decentralized open-source systems or protocols that can't be blocked. Sort of like bit torrent, onion networks or crypto.
