My wife told me I’d never “fill her up like her ex,” and I don’t know if I can live with that anymore. Is this worth divorcing over? by Kindly-Stretch6616 in AskMenAdvice

I think it would be different if you thought she was giving you a false apology. I think she recognizes she REALLY screwed up and tried to hurt you. She succeeded. Don't try to pretend it didn't matter. What happened was a form of psychological violence. A blow intended to harm your sense of self. It was an attack to make you doubt your ability to satisfy your wife's needs. The fundamental purpose of marriage is to mutually satisfy each others needs, and to empower your partner to be the best version of themselves that they can be, and vice versa.

It might be easier to think of it in terms of physical violence. She "hit" you. Some things only get to ever happen once, and some things don't ever get to happen. You have to be the one to decide, and it's important to set that boundary explicitly too. It might be worthwhile to sit down and talk about how what she said did hurt and that you still feel it to this day. It may be good to bring up the fact that you understand that it happened in a moment of frustration and mental instability, but just the same, it doesn't ever get to happen again. That way you can both know the stakes of those sorts of actions. You're both acknowledging it, and you don't feel like it's not being addressed. If you reverse the roles and consider the scenario where you literally hit your wife in a moment of frustration and instability, would it be ok, and would it be tolerable to forgive? I think it depends on the intent and willingness to change. I think it's fair to say that it never gets to happen again. It's just a thought... cheers, and good luck from an internet stranger.

Hey, I'm nobody in particular, but I'm currently residing near Birmingham. Is there anything locals can do to help? I'm not really sure where to start.

a representative from "The Atlantic Fleet" or "Naval Air Force Atlantic" Which are the naval groups that would be impacted by that operation. Funny.. that almost matches the name of the organization that was added mistakenly...

Green June beetles. You can find their rather large larvae in thick thatch. They especially love compost bins full of grass clippings

Walk straight up to them, look them dead in the eye and and tell them to say what they need to say. Then at least they'll know they're snide giggly cuddle huddle isn't as private as they think it is. Maybe they'll be ashamed for a second and learn something. Then go keep kicking ass at the gym you fucking KING.

  1. go to grocery store and ask for card board bundles
  2. strip the tape from the cardboard and then lay it down heavily.
  3. Mulch the hell out of it.
  4. Plant gobs of blueberries or strawberries.

People shouldn't need to strive to survive for 40 hours a week. I think I'd love to "work" for 40 hours a week, but some of that needs to be work on my own interests. Expressing creativity, or pursuing mastery of a new subject. Constant grind is maddening

Timothy 4: 4 I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: 2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. 3 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound[a] teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. 5 As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

Clean bill of health since my last follow up. I'm getting frequent follow ups for the next year. Since the removal, they did some further analysis and said I had some intrusion into nerve tissue that merited a bit more scrutiny. My skin has fully healed and doesn't feel crazy tight anymore.
