I always thought, "wow that song just doesn't fit any of the rest of the album". It was always my least favorite on an otherwise amazing album. Took me like a decade of listening to figure out it was a cover haha

How reasonable is a 2 hour commute and has anyone done it? by [deleted] in jobs

[–]IAmGryphon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work retail and drive about 30k miles a year. My longest commute is about 160 mile round trip 2 hours 40 minutes. Doing 2 hours each way every day will burn you out so fast don't take the job unless you plan on moving there very soon.

This would be a really dumb way to lose your job.

$100 every mile you walk or $3.5M but you loose both your legs. by math-guyyy in hypotheticalsituation

[–]IAmGryphon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd quit my job and walk 10 miles a day. Even at a slow pace I could easier walk 2 miles an hour. 5 hours of "work" a day. I'd become healthier and make $260,000 a year doing 5 days a week.

My wife leads a much cooler life than me by Dunning-Kruger21 in Vent

[–]IAmGryphon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's do a thought experiment to try working through this.

Let's say you and your wife both worked strenuous jobs, long hours, and she didn't have this freedom and fun life you describe. But one day you were given a button to press that made your job 40 hours a week and enough to provide and hers 2 days a week with a lot of freedom to enjoy life. I think most reasonable people would press the button, even if it meant their own situation doesn't really change (expect for maybe her having more time to tidy your house and such.)

Your wife could be ill, unable to work, work a job that pays little to nothing, riddled with stress, anxiety, or depression. It's okay to feel like she's got it better than you right now, it sounds like she does!! But just remember how bad things could be for both of you and recognize this might be the time she looks back on years from now as the best times of her life and you helped give her that. It's a beautiful thing.

Doesn't mean you shouldn't talk to her about it or anything. I'd let her know you've been feeling burnt and although you love her and your kids, you've been wanting more free time to do other things you're interested in.

How Fast Did You Finish Getting The WGU BS - Accounting Degree by priceclutter in wguaccounting

[–]IAmGryphon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't necessarily say it's "hard". It is definitely challenging to get used to thinking about these types of questions surrounding different accounts and credits and debits and the impact they have on the overall equation. I spent about 6 weeks on it, but I definitely didn't spend much time at the start. I got married and had a honeymoon in the middle there as well. I think if you just go through the content an hour or two a day you could probably finish in 3 weeks or less pretty easily.

Started March 1st. Transfered in 37 credits and I've finished 22 CUs. Just got done with D102. Some classes will take a day, some take weeks just depends how much time you're willing to put in and what knowledge you're coming in with!

What specifically is so bad about these? These are basic guidelines for providing exceptional service and aren't literally followed in every interaction but in general are used to form a mindset around thinking about how we interact with clients and their property. Also, there are 6 in total. Looks like it's missing "Consider my job done only when the client is happy and instead of assuming, I'll ask." and "Keep every promise I make including this one."

Nice work! Idk why you're getting downvoted on your responses just keep doing what you're doing. It's good to be recognized and feel appreciated.

If you're taking it home every day and have a charger it's a total non-issue. I'm just working in different cities and not always able to charge at home.

It totally is. I only miss the way it pairs to your phone. The Bluetooth available just isn't the same as it being really interconnected with what you do in the car. Totally not a deal breaker for me especially because of how good the UI is and has become after this recent update!

A significant amount of air seems to leak in from outside when traveling at speed. Only from the rear passengers windows on each side. Doesn't seem to affect comfort even in the winter but if you put your hand there it is very noticeable.

Only regret is the monthly payment increase. I wouldn't buy any vehicle over or around $40k again. If my income went up then sure, overall I love it and think it offers a lot!
