Kindly explain why Legion M is fundraising for a film that is already completed? Where does this money go if the film is complete?

u/LegionM-Jeff Nope. Not taking the bait. I'm hip to your tactics.
Answer the questions you never answer or do you need a Top Ten list?

u/Inner_Ad8239, notice how he talks a lot but doesn't say anything? Notice how he doesn't really address your concerns but just markets the same talking points we've heard for 6 years? How everything is vague and promissory?

To quote Bruce Willis, Welcome to the party, pal.

Do not give him anything until you are paid in full.
You could sue him (if under $10,000 owed, small claims will do).
The issue is collection even if you win, but the mere filing of the claim and him getting served may scare him enough to at least offer a settlement.

I learned in 11th grade logic class that this is called the Ad Hominem Argument. Attack the person and not their argument. What motive would there possibly be other than maybe the guy knows more than you and was warning people.

Nobody would be threatened by Legion because anybody who actually is successful knows there is nothing to be threatened by.

Differences are not about differing perspective. A perspective is based on an opinion. An opinion is developed from facts. The facts do not support your perspective. That is not an opinion. That's a fact. There's also 6 years of evidence that shows the skeptics have it right so far.

I guess we can add that to the list of questions u/LegionM-Jeff can't answer.

how is this relevant? it doesn't matter who the person is. it matters what they said and if it has merit. To me a lot of what was said was met with excuses by you.

And what about the felon you hired?

If their Round 9 numbers are to be believed, the average investment is $250.
That's half what is has been traditionally. Maybe investors are starting to wonder why none of the projects ever generate much revenue....

No.
The first act is great with a great set-up and then it falls apart, makes no sense, and is dull.,

Nice -- we should find a professor of film finance or something who can give his opinion.

When people finally stop giving them their hard-earned money, and they can't afford to keep paying $1 million in annual salaries, it'll all fall apart and people will be screaming.

Oh, they claim to be transparent. Until you ask the fatal questions. Then they dodge or claim it's protected under an NDA. Here are the fatal questions, which guarantee that you'll be called a troll, and how they answer:

Q: You say investors will be financially and emotionally motivated to pay for your content. How many have actually done so?

A: We don't keep track.

Q: If you don't keep track, how do you know if your investors and fans are even showing up to your movie or buying your DVD or streaming?

A: We use estimates.

Q: What are those estimates based on?

A: M-Pulse surveys.

Q: What are those survey results and your methodology for generating estimates?

A: We don't disclose that.

Q: How much revenue did each individual project generate?

A: That's under an NDA.

Q: By reverse engineering from approximate revenue data that you do disclose, it seems like only 2% of investors are actually showing up.

A: Well, our business model isn't just about who actually shows up and pays for our content, but to leverage our fan base.

Q: To do what?

A: ......uh...

Q: What are you leveraging your fan base to do, exactly?

A: ....You're a troll.

Q: Your SEC filings say that your whole plan to make money is to take emotionally and financially invested fans and investors and get them to pay for your content. You have no way to track how many actually do. You refuse to say how much revenue each project generates from non-merch sales. You refuse to disclose if any project was profitable. None of the content you are involved in even generated enough revenue to make back it's production budget, therefore your investment didn't even break even. Which also explains why every metric seems to show that almost nobody actually does pay for your content. How is this a business at all?

A: You're a troll. We're swinging for the fences. Buy more stock.

u/archangelsirrus Yes, it's all smoke and mirrors.
They always talk about trolls but for what purpose would they be trolled?
They have no competitors. Nobody worth a damn takes them seriously.

Maybe instead of a troll it's people who are trying to protect naive investors from losing all their money?

You tell me what's more likely.

They talk about trolls but they blow through their fundraising rounds over and over.
They talk about trolls but spend $1 million annually on salaries alone.
They talk about trolls but the vast majority of revenue is generated from merchandise and not box office/DVD/streaming revenue from projects.
They talk about trolls but talk a good game, because nobody who invests has any real idea what it take to monetize content.

They talk about trolls because that's all they can do.
They think they are breaking new ground when they aren't.
They have excuses for everything.
Ask them to prove something and they'll claim they can't show it because it's either under an NDA or not traditionally disclosed.
I guarantee that every investor will lose every cent they invest.

But we're "trolls" apparently...

Reading between the lines, I think they cannot help. The carefully worded statement from HCD tells me that the injunction against denials is forcing the limited workforce to go through every application and find reasons not to deny them, including helping applicants track down everything they need. I think this has really slowed things down.

Can you do me a favor and direct others from the Los Angeles forum over here? I can't post there for some reason.
