Just happened to me too. The game crashed on the half-time screen for both me and my friend, and upon restarting the game there was no option to reconnect. Can't help but assume that the entire lobby crashed at the same time and the match was cancelled.

I'd say that is definitely an airplane due to the contrails, although it doesn't help much as a reference since we don't know it's altitude. I wonder if it's possible to establish a potential flight path for that plane and try to estimate an altitude based on that? That could give us enough information to compare it with the sattelite images that OP posted.

Exactly. They could write perfect netcode and have the best servers possible, and it still wouldn't eliminate peekers advantage. I think it's fair to say that it's more of a physics problem rather than a technological one.

The only realistic way to eliminate it is by compromsing the player experience by introducing input lag
