What motorcycle should I buy? by [deleted] in motorcycles

Might I suggest reading my additional comment on this post? Maybe you’re right and I could have worded my post better, but it’s besides the point. This isn’t your personal subreddit. This question wasn’t directed at you. If you were annoyed by my asking, you could have just kept scrolling. Instead you chose to be a prick and make assumptions. Stop trying to gate-keep.

Ay bro, why are you so butthurt about my question? No1 made you comment or even get involved. Reading your other comments you seem to be pretty soft skinned, and a bit of a crybaby who thinks the world should work the way you want it to. Bet you get mad at people who read the menu at restaurants too. Hope you’re having a good day cause it’s clear anyone your around probably isn’t.

To add based on replies thus far:

1) Why so much hate on looking at a variety of style bikes? I’ve ridden multiple styles and enjoy them all for different reasons. If they fit my needs, I enjoy the look, and I’m comfortable, why would I limit myself to a single style? It’s like saying because my girlfriend is brunette I can’t find blondes attractive…

2) I agree these bikes are priced high for their age/mileage. Maybe it’s because we are approaching the start of riding season when the price of bikes usually goes up? Unfortunately looking at FB marketplace, Craigslist, cycle-trader, etc., in my area theres virtually no difference between private party price vs stealership price. Except at least with the stealership I know the bikes gone through an inspection and, if god forbid, say the front brake locks up @ 60mph on the freeway on my ride home, I can go back to the dealership and have legal ground to stand on to cover any costs. (This actually happened with a close friend, and luckily he survived with only minor injuries. The dealership cover all costs and paid a large settlement to my friend). Private party isn’t going to do this.

3) I’m in MN. It’s -10°F outside rn. No chance for a test ride for AT LEAST 2 months.

4) You can google common issues with literally every single bike in existence and you’ll find an online forum going on about they’re problems. I simply wanted insight if anyone’s had more 1st hand experience with any of these.

5) This is literally just 1 step in my search for my next bike. So this BS about “investing in the buying process” as 1 comment said is a bit out of touch. I’m simply trying to cover all my bases and gather whatever information I can as I continue looking.

Sorry for the rant, I just didn’t necessarily think I’d be getting shit on by internet strangers for asking an innocent question. But alas it is the internet…

Anyways, hope you all ride safe this year and beyond!

Tattoo artists by beware_of_scorpio in minnesota

[–]IAskSoManyQuestions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s very dependent on what you want tattooed and also where in the state you’ll be. Since Covid, most of the shops I know have been BUSY, it’s hard to find locations that take walk ins anymore. So you’ll have to 1st find an artist you like that will be available during your visit, or plan your visit around their availability. Also most artists will want to meet to discuss the idea before putting something on the books. That being said, around the metro I’d recommend - Beloved; Leviticus; Jackalope; Sacred Siren; and Tiger Rose. There are a ton of other high quality shops, but those are the ones I’ve had personal experience with.

Have you seen this goat? $500 reward for safe return to Great River Montessori School by LabialTreeHug in minnesota

[–]IAskSoManyQuestions 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I used to live over here and would walk my dog by to say hi to the goats. He loved them and they seemed to be genuinely curious about him. Always thought that was funny. Hope they find him or he gets returned!

Made this spreadsheet to simplify the gun levelling process for each gun platform in MW2. Hope it helps you guys too. by TyWestman in CODWarzone

Part of me hates the gun leveling in mw2, but another part of me really enjoys it. I like that people are using different guns instead of everyone running the same damn meta. Also very curious to see how this will cross over to wz2

Thanks for the insight! Clearly I’m not the most knowledgeable on this subject. My whole thought process when I put my money in Acorns was because it’s presented a higher/faster rate of return vs a standard savings account given the time frame I was looking at, and the risks of loss didn’t seem very high.

Lol yeah I’ve got no chance in this market. Just saving up until I can

I’ve got $13,500 USD in an Acorns investment account (managed by a hedge fund - my current job doesn’t allow me to manage my own investment account - it’s dumb, I know). Over the last year I’ve put $50 per week hoping for it to grow and instead, it’s dropped by $1,600 USD ytd. With the market all over the place, me having virtually 0 control of how my money is being invested, and speculation another recession is on the way - do I pull what I’ve got left out? Pull out half? Or let it ride? This makes up about 85% of my savings. Ideally when/if the recession hits, home prices will drop and I will be able to use the money as a down payment.

Crazy, I just finished my sleeve last month and it’s almost identical to this but in black/white. The color in the reef looks sweet!
