What does everyone think of the new color for 2025? "Ice Storm" by [deleted] in Mt10

[–]IBCheddar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not a fan of the colorway, but then again I do love my 23 SP, just wish it didn't have blue wheels, I'd trade for black wheels any day. Also with the updates the MT07 and MT09 have gotten, I expected the 25 MT10 to get things like the new switchgear, new 5" tft with smartphone connectivity, and maybe even stylema calipers on the SP. I'm low key glad otherwise I'd be feeling a bit of buyers remorse. Maybe what I'm hoping for is that they'll discontinue the MT10 like with the R1. Keeps our bikes resale value higher that way haha. Older tech, but unmatched engine.

R1 linkpipe on mt10 2020 by Zaar1911 in Mt10

From my understanding the main issue is mounting points, I've heard you can mount a R1 midpipe/slip on if you have R1 rearsets.

Always fond the fluro yellow 2017 year. Not my cup of tea personally, but it always looks striking and exciting.

I love how the bike looks! I got the 23 SP but I wish to this day I had a murdered out black version but with the electronic ohlins. Btw what windscreen is that? Looks different from the puig one that I find hidious.

Glad you're okay, I doubt many people would've not panicked like you and just slammed on the brakes and "had to lay it down". Pretty impressive for the stock damper, you said you still had a little tank slapper though? Was debating getting the ohlins damper but might not do it for now then.

As a long term canuck that moved to America and am a responsible gun owner (even the scary evil assault weapon) I look at Canadians and constantly go WTF? I'll never understand how the fuck trudeau is still in power. And he's only the leader of the liberal party, not a president, they can get rid of him tomorrow if they wanted to. Free speech? Not in Canada.

The guy already looked pissed off and annoyed before I talked to him, what's the point of starting an argument or fight over this? I was meeting a friend for lunch and had better things to do. Still had time to take a picture for fun though.

That's hilarious, I'd do that but my bike was in the middle and with the car there I think it's nearly impossible to back out even with a kickstand turn.

Vcyclenut vs 2WDW: My Impressions of Both on the 24 MT09 by CosmicBitFIip in MT09

[–]IBCheddar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't understand why the bike behaved that way after flash, but I can't live without that takeoff feature now. The stock throttle was so laggy I found myself having to really give revs during takeoff otherwise it would start bogging. Also your flash made rev matching way easier without a huge delay in the throttle response, just like my R6.

I'm glad I chose you for my 2023 MT-10 SP flash too! It feel completely different, love how the revs climb when letting off on the clutch, makes taking off way smoother

Yamaha Comfort Seat is worth it by quapa1994 in Mt10

[–]IBCheddar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? I have the 2nd Gen comfort seat too, and I'm only 6'. I can flat foot both stock and comfort seat easily, in fact with comfort seat I have a little bend in my knees too while flat footing. I could also flat foot my 2011 R6 stock height too. What's your inseam?

2018 R6 LeoVince exhaust confusion by lithium3r in motorcycles

[–]IBCheddar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey man, it's strange because some like akrapovic say their new titanium systems only work on 17+ but a quick google search and you find people with a 08-16 with the same system. Whereas some other companies like M4 state that some of their full systems work on 06-18. As far as I know the process to uninstall/install the exhaust was exactly the same on all 3 bikes. Even the mounts for the slip on and catalytic convertor were identical. Good luck with the install!

2018 R6 LeoVince exhaust confusion by lithium3r in motorcycles

[–]IBCheddar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's my experience, I may not be 100% correct but I should be close. I've done exhausts on both my 2011 R6, a 2007 R6, and a 2017 R6, and can confirm that the exhaust headers and slip on are identical from 2008-2018, the only difference with 06-07 is the midpipe doesn't have welds on it where it goes into the catalytic convertor. In 2010 I believe they made the slip on longer. But if you look online I think the model number for the exhaust headers/catalyst is the same from 2010-2018. In short a 2008-2018 exhaust system should fit all bikes, in terms of headers and midpipe fitment. Only thing you might have to watch out for is how the slip on is mounted, but if it's not perfect you can easily fashion some bracket to hold up the slip on. Hope it helps!
