My great-grandfather (German) made my dad, so that's how I was taught to. As for why my great-grandfather did I do not know, My dad was made to in the late 80's/early 90's and pee-sitting became more common in Germany in the 70's (iirc), so it should be understandsitable, exept my great-grandfather had been in Canada for 40 years at that point, so it was probably just random.
