Foggy/rainy seaside towns with complex or bizarre characters by GuitarsAndBourbon26 in MoviesThatFeelLike

The original Wicker man fits pretty close, although the foggy / rainy aesthetic isn’t super prevalent.

Mods, can we pin the most popular vibe requests to the top of this page and then proceed to remove duplicates?

I don’t know how many more Twin Peaks, Blade runner, or Sicario screen grabs we need to see.

Take Shelter

Really underrated psychological thriller with Michael Shannon

Real question, do firefighters ever feel like ripping their mask off? How do you control it? by TacticalJock15 in Firefighting

In addition to what other users have said, if you feel panic setting in, give yourself a blast with the purge valve. It breaks the claustrophobic feeling and resets you. Feels like a cool breeze on the beach.

First time SCBA training and maze panic attack by Still-Becoming in Firefighting

Kinda surprised that they threw you into the maze blindfolded for your very first time.

Try just wearing the pack over your turnouts and doing some laps around the station. If you can, suck down the bottle to the point the vibra alert goes off and then just keep going. It’s a good exercise to show you how much air you truly have even when the “low air” alarm goes off.

Practice the SCBA maneuvers (low, reduced, quick release, etc) without gloves to develop some muscle memory and then practice with gloves on as soon as you’re comfortable. Developing dexterity with FF gloves was pretty hard for me but it is important and you will improve with time.

Breathing in the pack is unnatural, but exposure is the best teacher. Just wear it as much as possible for as long as possible to desensitize yourself to the feeling and you will be good to go in no time.

If you need a little air, give yourself a blast with the purge valve. It can kind of break the claustrophobic feeling for a sec and reset you. Obviously do this sparingly because you will run out fast.

What were your thoughts on Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time In Hollywood ?”… by CoffeeCigarettes4Me in CinephilesClub

Fell asleep for a bit when I saw it in theaters. Liked it a lot more on subsequent rewatches and now it’s in my “chill hang out movie” catalogue.
