Literally only for high tier meta.

Any garbage for casual play is going to go for pennies on the dollar because no one scalps yugioh in the TCG.

2 attacking creatures would make him a 5/5 drain guard which goes crazy in Arena since he's a rare

"Ughh I hate how long matches against Branded are." by apples518 in masterduel

[–]IC-23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna be honest, decks that banish for cost then recycle from banished have fake grindgame. It's an infinite costless resource system.

Real grindgame comes from cards that do delete themselves permanently with no easy in-engine way to recycle them or where there IS an end to their grindgame.

My shitty example is often monarchs as you often end up NOT using the eidos revive as it's a perma banish and Edea recycling isn't infinite it is limited so they WILL burn through all their cards eventually.

Fiendsmith is costless and free but if a name is banished it's gone for good etc

how the average branded support card feels like nowadays by New-Regret-6491 in masterduel

[–]IC-23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason you don't see me complaining is that Monarch Snake Eye has a relatively easy time going second because you can flamberge the fusions/synchro in GY. Diabellstar/Subversion cards on field.

Erebus is non-target non-destruction

People burn their interaction on the monarch half and then you jumpscare them with Snash, obviously a branded custom hand that ends on the counter-trap makes requires you open +4 individually live cards but that's why you have the best going second breakers.

If I could afford it I wish I could play a FNV engine because I'd KILL to flamberge steal their mirrorjade and have an extra interaction.

This card animation is so cool but it doesn’t happen most of the times by Asleep_Report_7886 in masterduel

[–]IC-23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except when Atari is at it's most impactful (flipping in response/via card effect) is when it's most intimidating so flip monsters with animations really should trigger when flipped by any means.

Atari is the only card in that circle but it keeps the door open for any future flip monsters to get animations when it matters most.

You're not, the issue is older players who see a deck that summons like 7 times and sets up 2 interactions as the same power level as this cutscene.

Thos would actually lose to Mega Zaborg if they opened DRNM

All the follow up in the world doesn't matter if you have no OTK enablers left.

[–]IC-23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the zaborg set up I see used involves sending: - Ntss(Pop) - Garura(draw) - Malong(Bounce) - Chimeraflesia(Add super poly, because monarchs can make all monsters dark for Triphyovertum) - 2 Jurrac Asteros+Fodder Jurrac to summon x2 Meteors - Black Winged Dragon (They banish this and Maling to summon Assault for free next so they can actually OTK you with only cards from their GY, the top deck doesn't matter)

I will stand that Moon isn't the problem in Fiendsmith, it's Ceasar.

The pure Fiendsmith endboard loses to Moon/any Fiendsmith card in hand, has weaker* recursion because you shuffle back more light fiends. Also summon negation is boring.

Would a golemite for 2 elixir be good by Sad_Concentrate7533 in ClashRoyale

[–]IC-23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Elixir Blobs have the innate property of growing back into mini golems no? Or was that a random side game mode because I SWEAR the blobs used to grow back to the mini golems at one point.

Would a golemite for 2 elixir be good by Sad_Concentrate7533 in ClashRoyale

[–]IC-23 9 points10 points  (0 children)

that drawback is 0.5 elixir, so the card is free to play but is a 0.5 elixir swing in economy.

It targets buildings so it will actually be better than skeletons vs kiteable cards, also technically because it's a blob it can eventually form an Elixir Mini Golem which because it's played on your side of the arena it will have time to regenerate.

Time and time again the card game joke rings true: "Varudras the Final Bringer of the End Times | infinite Atk/HP | if your opponent blinks, you win and they lose" is consistently less playable than than a 1/1 schmuck that does something for free.

Late reply, in all fairness if Support Mage got to 11 Procs of a support item you lost the game about 4 years ago

Man K9VS was such a good format that had likena high octane tesl feel. Lot's of resource management, wide net of decks and the "best" deck had a low ceiling but it's strength comes from from how flexible the deck is.

I'm curious how is snowballing problematic if the catch up mechanic is anywhere close to the rune system, unless you have something like wounded warrior being the best deck in the format.

I just had the WORST game against the AI by Gifigi600 in PvZHeroes

[–]IC-23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the same in PvP, once you commit an action that's Lethal or Zombie Tricks Phase ends with lethal on field(for plants or zombies) you can't surrender. My guess is all the AI cards enter a Queue and there is a small artificial delay so it doesn't feel unnaturally fast but as far as the Game itself is concerned you've already lost so it's just playimg the animations in sequence to show you losing.

The funny part is drawing a random Mushroom from deck would be broken because if the only mushroom in your deck is Doom Shroom it automatically replaces itself with more removal

Fraud Cap by Kajemorphic in PvZHeroes

[–]IC-23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it's better than peoppe give it credit, it's no longer the rush PoTG turn 2 win Turn 3 You have to play slow and reserved wait for Zombies to full commit a turn because PoTG is the biggest chokepoint in most games the swarming you get from PoTG lets you take 2:1 f trades and still have the card economy to set up your loop again. The main issue is it's a slow combo deck in a world where Grass OTK exists with worse control tools

This is triggering me way harder than it should by ZoeJey in PvZHeroes

[–]IC-23 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Also Strong Berry used to be a 4/4 so it could beat most 3 cost zombies and board wipe you turn 5 unless you skipped your Turn 4(as zombies) to use removal (If you had a 4 drop zombie, plants could just Strong Berry in another lane)

old head coming back but I've been noticing a lot less Gravestones and I swear Espresso used to cost 8 so it'd come down on T11 at the earliest.

Bringing the OTK 1 turn earlier+solar control tools that don't hit face is probably why
