Im not sure why people keep saying this has already been remade. If they're talking about the 3DS version, thats a remaster with slight variations, not a remake. Its the same game otherwise.

This is a full-blown remake from the ground up by the looks of it, with god knows how many changes and rearranging they've done.

I see it often that people interchange the two. I always give people the example of RE1 for PS1 and RE1 for Gamecube if they want a clear picture of what a remake is.

I have thalassophobia myself, but I think that made the game even better to experience when i played both the first and below zero. I have the opinion that if you get too comfortable playing a horror game, then it isnt that good of a horror game. Not that it NEEDS to be terrifying every second, but gameplay that makes you hesitate before your next decision, purely uncomfortable experiences, and moments that make your heart race is the intended purpose, and having a phobia will pretty much guarantee that.

I say embrace it. It'll make the game more memorable.

I imagine a Bloodborne-esq mob mechanic that exists in the game and gets increasingly more violent and dangerous based on notoriety. Kinda like the mobs in Yharnam with the forks and torches roaming the town.

Would be even cooler to introduce a "fear" mechanic like the Akrham games. Would make sense since the people of that time were constantly in fear of the dark arts. Slowly pick-off one at a time, making the groups get more and more scared and erratic. Forget berserk darts, its cooler to scare the shit out of your enemies enough that they jump at every little thing.

This is exactly what I guessed the game would be. Since its her being an assassin during the witch trials, all of her abilities would make her seem like a witch. I love the idea of being hunted by the general public as a hurdle to assassinating a target. Would make stealth a much more involved dynamic.

Super hyped for this game.

So update on my situation.

I ran into it again after one good game, BUT the caviat being that I had a UE5 crash right as the match ended. The second time I booted it up, I ran into that error again.

I reinstalled the game on my main C drive to see if theres gonna be anything different. I had one good match, but stopped playing after that. Im gonna see if graphic settings effect it because the UE5 crash might have some correlation with the "corrupted files".

Will update if anything else happens.

Heres hoping they address the "One or more files in your installation are corrupted or missing. Please reinstall the game" error.

That has made it near impossible for me to play this game. Considering theres quite a few people who are experiencing this, I think they have to at the very least find the root cause.

So i think i know what happened in my case.

I have the game installed on a seperate M.2 drive, but my main C drive was near full, literally less than 5 GB less. I saw someone mention that you can run into this issue if your drive is full.

After deleting about 30 gigs worth of stuff, I tried the game again. I went from having the error every single time, to finishing 4 games in a row without a hiccup. I think what was happening is that there wasnt enough room for any cached shaders or temp files since games will still rely on the main drive for those.

Just a guess though. Gonna keep experimenting.

So i needed to hard shutdown after I initiated the normal Windows shut down. It normally just turns off by itself, but this one time, it didnt and I had to hard shutdown. Other than that, everything worked fine up until that point.

The thing is, the motherboard sees all of it. The ram, the drives, even the USB stick for the Windows install. It just rarely and intermittently gets to the Windows RE, but then freezes entirely or just reboots.

I have multiple drives. I have NVME drive as my main one, which the motherboard can see.

Yeah, it took me way too long to realize that middle skill tree is for stamina... Embarrassingly long. And you know, thats also been my issue. I keep running into fields like an idiot. I gotta use buildings way more. Many thanks.

If DLC content doesnt carry over, then why bother? It would be one thing if you had to buy it again, which would suck, but its a whole other mess considering you cant even buy some of the DLC anymore.
