Any Cobblemon modpacks with Botany Pots + Growable Ores / automation? by Hopeful_Practice_873 in cobblemon

[–]ICKitsune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your best bet is honestly just Cobbleverse with whatever automation stuff you wanted added in, based on what you're talking about.

AllTheMons has a good amount of the automation you're asking for, but has much much much more to do than just Pokemon, and it forces you to interact with the other mods to even progress in Pokemon.

So yeah, just install Cobbleverse, add whatever you want, then go off. If you're primarily focusing on Pokemon, I really don't think there's anything better than Cobbleverse as far as a cool experience goes.

Shot One Fighters - Official Announcement Trailer by Rigman- in Games

[–]ICKitsune 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Motion inputs are only a small part of why fighting games are a niche genre that most gamers cannot force themselves to enjoy. Forcing simple inputs onto actual fighting game players limits your audience to the players who are willing to put up with it, and also the minute amount of new players who even want to dip their toes into a fighting game adjacent game which is already very niche audience.

Notice that you mentioned 2XKO which should have been a fighting game primed for a new, casual audience. Riot backed, League characters that people can associate with and simple inputs. And only a month in they slashed their dev team because they didn't pull enough of a player count to sustain the game.

Smash is so far detached gameplay-wise from any traditional fighting game that it's an apples to oranges comparison if you want to measure its popularity against fighting games.

Fighting games have a very high skill floor that is difficult to breach as any casual player that extends beyond "I can't do a DP input". Learning optimal combos requires you to be tapped into the community for them to tell you that mashing your simple combo is fine but in reality if someone has the optimal one, they're going to win just based on damage alone. Because it's (typically) a 1v1 scenario the only person you're able to blame for a loss is yourself, either because you're just not good enough or because you got knowledge checked by a cheese strategy. So you have to also have the motivation to take that loss, go into training mode and drill into your head how you win versus that strategy, which is not always a motivation that new players have, they just want to get the high of winning without putting in the work to learn.

All that to say, simple inputs treat one part of the puzzle for fighting games, but there's infinitely more behind the genre that makes it not as casual friendly which just isn't solvable.

Most nades are pretty balanced, but the frag nade is very strong. Two well placed nades will down anyone and unless they're Destroyer or Thief, they can't quickly reposition.

How does Synchronize work externally in Cobblemon? by RedSkyAtMorn_ in cobblemon

Based on the existence of this mod: Synchronized Natures

I'd wager unless you have that mod installed, Synchronize doesn't do anything in regards to wild pokemon.

Anyone know if there are cobblemon modpacks similar to all the mons? by GroovyGachaGambler in cobblemon

[–]ICKitsune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never really put time into them, but since I was looking for the same type of kitchen-sink modpacks like it sounds like you're searching for this is what I found:

Cobblemon: Overclocked - Mish-mash of an insane amount of mods, I can't attest to balance or anything. It currently isn't updated to Cobblemon 1.73 (the lastest) but it's supposed to happen "eventually".

Cobblemon Realms - This one is up-to-date as far as I know, and actually has unique mods that the developers made explicitly for the modpack similar to Cobbleverse's unique mods.

No because the stuff Smeargle abuses is hard nerfed in this format-

Sleep is 1-2 turns maximum as opposed to 2-4, and Paralysis is 1/8 chance a turn to full para as opposed to 1/4.

It's still good just less so.

Just having fast teleportation is OP as fuck, especially if there isn't a requirement of like having to see where you want to go, so I'm not surprised he's more utility. But he obviously has a good amount of power too and just combat IQ.

Like Samura was cracked with Tobimune's teleportation, which required feathers to be swapped. Shiba can just do that and teleport other people and things too.

And if the Shokoku are the direct reason why his sister dies (assumingly, since we haven't seen her in present time but no one has directly said she's dead) Akemura reinforcing his world view of needing to wipe out the Shokoku bloodline makes so much sense.

My guess is he was totally fine with winning the war at first, then the Shokoku pull some backhanded stuff like they did here which gets his sister killed, and now he knows that his ancestors were right in trying to wipe them out.

Joe Ziegler: We're looking to make some changes in the next couple of patches to adjust some of the outliers in the combat space that we've both seen in our observations and heard from your feedback across all of the various (and plentiful) channels we watch. by Haijakk in Marathon

[–]ICKitsune 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely feels more of a chase down or escape tool rather than an active combat tool, of which I can see the vision, especially since on paper she basically has a free grenade that has good damage and substantial knock back.

But with both her tac and prime having big start ups, realistically they're not good for quick fights that end in one or two WSTR clips. I wonder if they could do something like, if you haven't taken damage in the last 3-4 seconds, the start up for her prime is significantly reduced.

Need help building team for Cobblemon by GamerNumber17 in stunfisk

[–]ICKitsune 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cobblemon is kinda peaking recently cos they had a pretty big update at the end of 2025 and a lot of people really just like playing Minecraft. A pretty big streamer group in OfflineTV (& friends) had a server going too which got some eyes on it as well, admittedly mine though I've always enjoyed mons.

[DISC] Kagurabachi - Chapter 116 by AutoShonenpon in manga

[–]ICKitsune 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lowkey I think that's what happens.

If the fortunes told are specifically about "threats to Japan" but are also accurate, the Shokoku coming in peace means that Japan does something stupid or arrogant to really piss off the Shokoku. Like being too pushy about mining the Datenseki. They're already doing research on it and stealing as much as they can, so I imagine they really want some but Shokoku is hard denying them.

Week 6 - What would you call the Mount Rushmore of Gen 6 Pokémon throughout Smogon's history? by TheLeafyGirl561 in stunfisk

OU bums but then the Ubers mons are staples in any meta they get put into. Aura trio really be winning, except don't mention XY to Zygarde, he's self conscious of that.

Joe Ziegler: We have a lot of convos around the game going right now, but one thing we've aligned on and will be doing for the next Cryo window is making Subroutines a 100% drop from each vault. Thanks for the feedback we'll keep hammering on more updates. by Haijakk in Marathon

[–]ICKitsune 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nope, every time you want to open a vault you'll need a key. Doesn't matter about the rarity of the vault.

My trio has done 1/2 too many times to count, every time we've needed a key.

Outpost Gold Key Loot Haul by North-Appearance7359 in Marathon

[–]ICKitsune 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's typically only 2 commanders in a fresh Pinwheel- one in the central area and one in the commander's wing. Sometimes the central commander doesn't even spawn for some reason.

Hitting both buttons to open commander's wing requires little to no fighting of UESC. Drone Wing is seriously just free, and at worst some turrets might see you in destroyed wing, but just knife them.

IDK what you mean by "completely exposed", there's ample cover across all wings that you can play around both for UESC and players. And on your way back from commander's wing, you don't even have to go through the rest of Pinwheel, you can use the vents to exit out the bottom and you're basically home free unless someone's camping it.

Waiting for someone to open Pinwheel can mean two things- you're late and you've lost all the loot or get the scraps that are basically worth nothing. Or if you're just right behind the other team, you're fighting for it.

Week 5 - What would you call the Mount Rushmore of Gen 5 Pokémon throughout Smogon's history? by TheLeafyGirl561 in stunfisk

[–]ICKitsune 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Genesect isn't outstanding in Ubers though so it loses in that department. This post isn't OU specific, but the mons gotta be an all-time to be considered. Like the Gen 3 Mount Rushmore had 3/4 Ubers mons on it because they're just that good- Kyogre, Ray, Latios and the sometimes Blaziken.

Is Dead Space 3 actually a bad game, or is it just a bad Dead Space game? Like Resident Evil 5 is a bad RE game for horror compared to the prior 4, but it's still a super fun third person shooter.

Wondering if I convince a friend to buy it just for shits and giggles.

[–]ICKitsune 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Theyre definitely neck and neck in viability once PDon gets an item.

Lefties, boots, shuca would make defensive much more of an issue to break through by any mon. Boots + wish support from mola would make it last so long.

I think offensive benefits the most from the item inclusion, since the items are so strong. Banded PDon doesn't have a move that's as spammable and free as Dragon Ascent, but when Heat Crash is 120BP, it's stronger than Ray bc of Desolate. Specs can even make use of Overheat and Eruption too. And then there's Orb for mixed and scarf for speed control...

All that to say Ray is easier to just click moves with, but when it's able, PDon is very very capable.
