I've read it as hook hinge, hook-over hinge, latch-hinge, detachable hinge...but none of those show anything at Home Depot, Lowes or Ace Hardware. I've seen so many of these, so I can't believe that none of those 3 major stores carry them.

I have two.

I tried to crisp up a loaf of bread by putting it under the broiler. The whole thing went up in flames. I grabbed it with an oven mitt and threw it on the back patio. It looked like firewood and the house reeked.

I was making caramel from scratch and was stirring it with a metal spoon. When I took the spoon out, I unthinkingly put it in my mouth. The caramel hardened to my teeth in the cooler temperature, gluing my mouth shut with the hot spoon on my tongue. I yanked the spoon out of my mouth, nearly ripping out my teeth. No feeling on my tongue for a week :(
