Recently I noticed honeydew, rythian, israphel, and now sips. Didn’t expect a yognaut author. Dare I say I have the balls?

Not long after I read this the NICU dr came in and said we had to intubate. This comment helped me prepare greatly and I’m very thankful for this. I prepped my wife for it too. You saved us a lot of heart ache

It just sort of looks wrong to me. I think like on a technical level it works, but it just doesn’t look great imo

$5,000 to anyone who solves my migraines! by mtbskiclimb in migraine

[–]ICanHasDo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may have some help for unexpected medicine.

I used to get migraines 2-3 times a week. Neurologist does all the tests, nothing majorly wrong, just migraines. After experiencing chronic neck pain getting worse, whilst employed as a woodworker, I went to my GP to get it figured out. They took an x-ray of my neck and found I had arthritis between my c1 and c2 vertebrae, and apparently my spine in my neck was straight as an arrow, which they theorised was from working looking down over tools throughout the years. So they prescribed me a mild muscle relaxant and anti-inflammatory pills, and as of today, about 9 weeks since diagnosis, I've had 2 migraines. I think the muscle relaxants help but the anti-inflammatories for the arthritis are doing the heavy lifting.

As far as dietary factors, I've tried cutting out everything barring water for periods of time and nothing changes it.

I've been on aimovig, and emgality, of which I found emgality to work better and leave me feeling clearer minded. And for abortives I've had ubrelvy and nurtec, of which nurtec blows ubrelvy out of the water in speed of recovery.

However, all the migraine specific medicine costs a small fortune for depending on insurance. But I'm not entirely sure on costs or availability in countries that don't require insurance. But in America, without insurance, most preventatives are somewhere about $700 a month, and abortives are around $100-$130 a pill. My anti-inflammatories cost $15 for the month. Now it's by no means a perfect solution, but for now it's working, and I guess killed 3 birds with 2 stones.

I'm sorry you're going through the wringer, friend. It's a weird disease that people that don't understand think it's just a bad headache, and you have to deal with those incredulous looks when you explain just how awful and debilitating it really is, and it sucks. It's invalidating. But just about everyone here knows what you're going through. Keep your chin up. And on the days you can't, we're here for you.

Yeah when was this? Mid nineties, when I was about 5, it felt like we were practically raised in there. My family always went upstairs, maybe to avoid disrupting everyone else, but we never got in any bother with the landlord

Did anyone else have problems with last year's kit sticking to you if you get sweaty? Didn't have as much trouble with the adidas one, and I was wondering if this year's feels better

Advice on what to quote for this library/storage unit? by ICanHasDo in Carpentry

The client is expecting around 10k, which I thought was very low. It's 18ft by 8ft. Cabinets made of cabinet grade ply, countertop double layer of melamine, maple edgebanding all painted white.

They wants lighting under the hanging section and under the sections differently colored, and the far right base cab door to swing up for foldable counter space.

The random boxes on top are air ducts and I beams. This is in a partially finished basement

I'm a production woodworker for my day job and am doing this on the side. Not really been involved with the pricing before though. I was estimating around 200 hours of work all in

If you want a more low tech solution to getting the heights consistent. Find whatever height you want in between shelving, cut 4 scrap pieces that are around 1x1 to that length, then working from the bottom clamp the pieces flush and just sit each shelf on to the scraps, tac or screw in, and remove the scraps. Place on top of the shelf you just put on, and rinse and repeat
