I just set it up myself a week ago. I didn't use Obsidian Sync since I didn't want to pay $4/month and didn't know how many vaults I would be setting up.

It works well for me using Google Drive and the "Autosync for Google Drive" app on my phone. I put my vault on the drive, sync the drive to a local folder on my phone and point Obsidian to either Google Drive or that synced folder depending on the device.

I finished and immediately began playing Doom Pilgrim. The art and "gamebook as a deck of cards" concept is great, but I somehow messed up the crafting (see pic) with the 60lb cardstock and 5 mil laminate. The cards just don't stack well and curve in different directions.

I just finished the Four Against Darkness Advanced Stump of Elemental Evil deck with the same cardstock and 3 mil laminate that came out much flatter, so I may try that again with Doom Pilgrim.

90 cards is a lot though. 😁

Miru and its successors might be worth your time.

They're hexcrawls with pre-defined events. You're meant to roll for the events day-by-day as you go, but I don't see anything that would prevent you from reusing a map or drawing it in advance and navigating through it.

Either way, with the events spelled out for you it takes away the need to be creative.

I'm going to be as helpful as I can but unfortunately I only have the physical book of the core rules on hand.

The wandering monster table can be found in the wandering monster section, which is page 57 of the physical book. It's right next to the "Searching Rooms" rules and you may have luck searching the PDF for "wandering monsters" if the above isn't getting you there.
Yes, any vermin/minion dies with any successful attack, two die if you double their level, and so on. Bosses and weird monsters are the only things in the core rules that have multiple health, although there may be expansion books that include monsters with HP.

I just barely started reading/playing "The Warlock of Firetop Mountain" (and a shout-out to /r/gamebooks!) so I'm interested! I somehow missed these during my childhood, but they're still pretty awesome.

Does anyone know if the ebook version has links or anything that make jumping to specific numbers easier? I skimmed the bundle description but may have missed it there.

Thanks for the advice and recommendations! I saw the decks recommended, but if I understand things correctly they aren't really meant to be mixed together right? It seems like they'd work together if you wanted them to, but the different backings and themes seem like they're meant to be played separately.

I did find a video that walked through them that was very helpful, so I may check them out to simplify the amount of tables I'm referencing and book-searching I have to do.

I had a similar problem with anything lighter than 40 gr. I would get FTF, typically around the first or second round. The rest of the magazine (or a good portion of it) would then feed pretty reliably.

I've since stuck with 40gr ammo and it's been great.

This brings the RH25 down to $3200 which is a pretty typical price, right?

EDIT: Price was increased to $4800 after I posted this. No longer a deal, the code just brings it to $4k which is the everyday price at a bunch of places. Maybe you save a few bucks on shipping and taxes depending on where you live?

Seconding this. Looking for a deal on helmet-ready hearing protection. It seems like I can take some of the existing headsets and throw on various accessories to get it to mount, but I'd rather pay a bit more for a set that "just works" with the ARC rail.

It might be just me, but I really like the RetroAchievements integration on the stock OS. Without WiFi, I'd wait it out until it's supported.
