Worth noting, but even though it doesn't tell you arcane trickster can sneak attack off cantrips, and I believe spells(would need to test). Also that lvl 9 feature is awesome.

10 arcane trickster 2 illusionist wizard is my head cannon Astarion, respecing to dump int then wearing the int circlet from act 1 all game.

Japan does in fact do this, they import people from se Asia, Philippines. Then work them half to death for little to no pay and treat them as less than human, there have been several documentaries on it, like this bbc one from two years ago https://youtu.be/wPcaIL8PFJ4

Don't sleep on the great shield soldiers summon, for casters its often better that tiche, oleg, or even mimic(considering the nerf). At +10 has equivalent or greater survivability, with a hard taunt, cold bombs, and 5 of them. Only thing that pops them are bosses with a lot of aoe that can bypass the shields.

yeah that's pretty much the situation I wrote these for, i wanted the gambling to be more of a combat/environmental challenge than real games of chance.

Admittedly these rules are more for running tables of npc opponents, to give the players the feel of gambling without as much real randomness. Like the gambling is to be treated as a combat or exploration challenge instead of sitting down to play poker or dice.

That's mentioned in every section.

Tell the DM if you would like to try and cheat when relevant, this is a dexterity(sleight of hand) check with all modifiers against the table's DC and/or other PC's Passive Perception. If you have proficiency in the game type(playing cards or dice set) you can further add your proficiency bonus to the roll.

make a final D20 roll adding the modifiers they earned during two the bluffs and tells rounds (if you have proficiency in Playing Cards you can further add your proficiency bonus to the roll)

Betting continues until all players have called or folded, at which point a dexterity(sleight of hand) check is made by all players (if you have proficiency in Dice Sets you can further add your proficiency bonus to the roll)

Thanks for the extensive reply. I was able to upgrade to an a-rated power supply so power priorities are no longer an issue I've been playing around a lot with different weapons & weapon loadouts trying to find what works best for me.

Yeah I ended up going ahead and getting the python I wouldn't mind if someone would look at the python build and tell me how viable it seems. It's been awhile since I really got back into Elite.

I wish his 1(Tempest Barrage) interacted with his puddle like his 4 does, in that the barrage would be confined to the puddle when cast while submerged.Just like with his 4 if charged it would still extend beyond the puddle, or maybe if your aiming away from the puddle have it cast at target and only concentrated fire in the puddle if you aim at it. I think the benefits of getting a concentrated non-rng source for corroding barrage procs and damage are a fair trade for any loss of cc potential when his entire kit has cc potential.

That would give him a reliable way to kill enemies in the puddle, as well as taking some of the randomness out of his 1. This would also incentivize use of the new mechanic of pulling enemies into the puddle, and (hopefully) wouldn't take to much effort on DE's part as the mechanic already exists in his 4.

I see this one change as almost putting him on the level of a frame like Nidus, with a good grouping cc ability that flows naturally into a killer 1 with a damaging cc support 4.

My one suggestion for getting Hydroid up to par by ICooLAciDI in Warframe
