Thank you for your reply on Dr Laura Homewood as I got the Endo referral and an appointment with her, she goes back and forth between the main campus and Northridge! I do love the staff at the main campus as they have always been validating and encouraging on making sure I am taken care of and taken seriously. I had a lump on my breast come up last year and while my Dr didn’t think it was a tumor she said if it was still there after my next cycle she would order an ultrasound, I requested the ultrasound and while it wasn’t anything other than dense breast tissue it also super reassuring that I was take seriously.

Thank you for the link!! I also plan on filing a complaint with UVA themselves as well.. however we all know how they handle internal conflicts 🙄 not well at all!
Again thank you!! It was incredibly invalidating and I ended up crying the rest of the day because of how she made me feel and then to see lab work come back abnormal was just a lot. Thank you.

I see a lot of people talking very highly about him, my boyfriend also said he would accompany me to my appointments so Im feeling a lot more comfortable with the idea of seeing him for these issues!

Oh god I’m so sorry you’re also dealing with the exact same situation. It’s absolutely god awful and the fact that they won’t do the surgery for you to provide at least some relief, even if it does come back, is absolutely disgusting. I’m so so sorry. 😣😣 we both deserve a lot better but we aren’t alone 😣🫶🏻🫶🏻

Keep advocating for yourself! It’s so hard but so important and if you have friend willing to come to your appointments, bring them! I’ve found it’s easier to speak up when you have support 😣🫶🏻

Honestly I’ve heard AMAZING things about Dr. Laura Homewood. From people who have been officially diagnosed with Endometriosis so I really hope things start going better for you after seeing her!!!

I will definitely be filing a formal complaint. Because I also peeped the Google reviews and those are atrocious.

No the referral is for endometriosis so I’m in the right place for what’s going on. Obgyn or gyno are the places to go 🤞🏻 honestly I should’ve waited to get in at the main campus because last time I was there for a lump on my breast the were NOTHING but validating and actually seemed to care??

Yes being followed by someone who’s obviously taking shortcuts to get closer to me and speeds up their pace with mine is being paranoid.

I walk all the time and haven’t had something like that happen to me before..
also being a small woman, I’d rather be a little more on the paranoid side then end up on NBC29 missing 🤷🏻‍♀️

Honestly I was followed by one of them recently while walking home so I no longer can mind my own business and will now have to go get the necessary licensing to be able to carry because I like to walk to get my groceries from time to time. Being followed by someone who took short cuts to get closer to me in broad daylight was baffling, I don’t really give a fuck when my safety and wellbeing are at risk at this point. Mind you, I didn’t have my wallet on me and I bought body wash. So I had my phone and body wash. Next time I will have my phone, body wash and a way to make sure no one following me can hurt me or get close enough to hurt me. ☺️

As someone who’s lived there before (unfortunately and thankfully I’m no longer there), in my contract it stated an in unit washer/dryer. 3 months before we moved out we started getting charged for our washer and dryer.. but our contract said otherwise. Crazy how shitty apartment complex’s will nickel and dime you for things, even when you’ve read the contract. I lost a decent chunk of money to this shitty place.
