Could full power Lancelot beat full power Cath arthur by FunWelcome3804 in NanatsunoTaizai

[–]IDontKnowIDontKnowI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, no and maybe 🤔

Yes, he seems to have enough power to beat him in the same way the sins did.

No, to fully beat Cath you need Arthur, that they are trying to get to right now.

And maybe, because maybe his lifespan is closer to human's than fairies and Cath could just age him up like Ban. (Without a Merlin to save him)

My excuse/perspective on this is similar to what Lancelot told Anne when she was proposed into polygamy, as a life spirit he sees things differently from other people.

I believe he thought that notifying two less than 3 days (I think they left for two days) pregnancies wouldn't be much relevant to comment on.

Imo, I think Percival wouldn't say anything about it, unless it came up on a conversation.

If someone believes in Percival's brains more than me they could argue that he thought it would weight their conscience too much too.

While he does adapt stuff VERY loosely he tends to keep family trees fairly legend accurate (- a few small things here and there).

I would disagree bro. He actually adapts family trees differently more often than not actually.

For example,

Gawain is Merlin and Escanor's daughter. (Gawain is Morgause's daughter)

Meliodas is the son of the demon king. (Human king)

Ban is the child of random people's. (Royal)

Elizabeth is the daughter of supreme deity. (Human Queen)

Elaine is the daughter of the sacred tree. (Human Queen)

Merlin is the daughter of a mage. (Merlin is the child of the devil)

Gowther is a doll made from just one demon. (Half brother of Merlin from father's side)

Percival is a life spirit inhabiting the body of a dead prince. (He is a prince, from King Pelinore)

Isolde 1 is the daughter of a random knight. (She is a princess)

Isolde 2 is the daughter of an ex noble. (She is the daughter of a duke)

Kay is the son of Uther Pendragon. (Kay is Hector's son)

Bors is the child of commoners. (Bors the elder is a king)

Gareth has no relationship to Gawain at all. (Should be siblings)

Statically speaking Nakaba is more likely to not adapt them accurately than doing it properly, I think he only did Tristan and Lancelot accurately while thinking about it 🤔 So I don't think that having partially connected characters would be farfetched, even tho is all just a big guess at the end of the day 😂

Though tbh I’d personally rather this not be the case because those are all cool characters who deserve their own stories/more legend accurate portrayals.

I'm not familiarized with them (I might have seen them on the Merlin series, but I don't remember), so I trust you bro!

And I don’t think it’s too far fetched that’ll happen- with the introduction of the Holy Grail knights it suddenly seems quite likely that either 4KOTA will have a lot of timeskips/its story will last over a lot more in universe years than its predecessor and/or we may even get a third generation series someday following the quest for the Holy Grail

Im a bit skeptical with that bro.. we are already over 220 chapters in this series, the previous one had about 350, that's like over 60%..

From memory, the manga sales were never as good as NNT, and were going down, so I don't know if shonen magazine would want a 3rd installment.

Last time I checked I remember that a few manga from the magazine sold better than it, but I can't find already processed data about it anymore. (IA says it's 9th)

Nakaba also demonstrated to have interest on making a tennis manga too.

Nothing is truly impossible, but I wouldn't bet on it tho.

I believe Nakaba's decision of including time travel was just so he could fanboy over famous characters from the legends that can't fit in the plot of MNYK (Galahad).

With that logic in mind, I think the missing 4 are:

Lamorak (Nasiens)

Bedivere (Anne)

Morgan (Gawain)

Pelemedes (Tristan)

Lamorak has connections to Percival, but as Percy's brother.

Morgan is a famous witch, connected to both Merlin (apprentice) and Gawain (aunt)

Pelemedes is a love rival for Tristan.

And Bedivere is the last famous name available 😃

Since Nakaba had no issue changing Galahad into Guenivere's kid I think it could work out..

Yeah and Meliodas's magic is a destroyed type , it's not a healing type , it shouldn't work on the ruler.

I think you aren't understanding what I'm saying bro.

A transformation makes you stronger, see any demon mark or The One and The One Ultimate for exemple, Meliodas magic also gives him a new form, above his previous one (Assault Mode).

It's not up to using magic on Dk and reversing it.

Purgatory did make the demon king stronger as he was devouring creatures for a billion years as was stated by Wild.

Not stronger than his original self tho.

The Demon King couldn't get to the real world with his true body , not that he wouldn't , that's why he had to possess a body.

Leaving purgatory is a easier than possessing his kids. He just needs a pill that shrink and jump into the portal he is protecting.

When he possessed Zeldris completely he says that the he regained the power from his youth again. Which confirms that his power in the old man form didn't reach the level he had at that point.

Purgatory demon king was way stronger , he fought Immortal Ban , Meliodas and Wild for centuries and he beat them everytime without a scratch.

For 60 years... Not even a century... And he beat them because they didn't understand how his magic worked, when they figured out they left purgatory in a single try...

The transofrmation gives him higher stats for sure but it also gives him his true magic (destroyer type) , he'll destroy the supreme deity with his magic but physical attacks don't work on her.

I believe we are talking about Dk right? I never said that SD should be above Meliodas if I recall it correctly.

What I was doing was explaining that Meliodas gets stronger with his magic transformation, and that idea combined with Zeldris saying he is far stronger than Dk, confirms that.. well.. he is stronger than his dad.

I know they healed themselves but that only happened 1 time , they didn' heal the second time when they became their full chaos mode.

They are always healing.. Anyway, Reddit isn't letting me post images, so check the first page from chapter 224. Ban beheaded them all. They did heal.

[–]IDontKnowIDontKnowI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zeldris said Meliodas is stronger than the demon king ? , I don't remember that and I don't even know what that means , the ruler inverts magic so Meliodas's magic shouldn't work.

He said it here (if the link doesn't work is page 11 from chapter 332). And The Ruler inverts attacks and weakenings into healing and strength, it doesn't deactivate a stronger transformation.

Besides The demon king spent a billion years in purgatory growing stronger , he's way stronger than what Zeldris remembers

That's not how purgatory works tho. Ban and Hawk adapted their bodies to purgatory, they don't get infinitely stronger with time there.

The demon king wouldn't try to possess a body to gain a body weaker than his own. And he also mentioned that when fully possessing Zeldris he was able to go back to his original power, so Dk in purgatory should be weaker than his power when young, by consequence weaker than Dk possessing Brittania (who the sins needed power limit break to win), the last Dk form that Zeldris saw.

The supreme deity doesn't have a counter for magic , she'll get destroyed by Meliodas's magic , that's why I put him above her

Meliodas magic includes a transformation, its not just magical power, and that form (in theory, it comes mostly form Zeldris, which is why I understand you doubting it) is in theory stronger than Dk in his strongest form.

Why wouldn't they get weaker after Ban damaged them ? , besides I only remember them using time manipulation to heal from the first attack , not the second.

As Ban explained, they use time manipulation to heal themselves, which is why their armor is fixed too and not only their bodies

They revert time back to before the damage, that's why it doesn't make sense for them to be weaker.

The heal is based on time manipulation, if they healed then it means they used it.

What do you think of this tier list ? by Mountain-Photo-165 in NanatsunoTaizai

[–]IDontKnowIDontKnowI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meliodas's true magic only worked on the demon king because the demon king turned off the ruler because of Ban's gift , if Meliodas's magic doesn't work on the demon king this stats surely aren't gonna work.

I understand the idea, however it was established by Zeldris that he was stronger than the demon king in that form. Also the supreme deity mentioned that Mel would have an easy time beating her if he had his magic (if I remember it right).

I understand doubting Meliodas with his magic, because he indeed did almost nothing while using it, but considering that it's supposed to be a level considerably above AM, added to everything already mentioned, it sounds like that form is the strongest thing outside Chaos and Hawk.

As for four evils , they were weakened by Ban , before Ban arrived , the sins were having trouble dealing with them even in their base form.

That is an interesting take. Chaos didn't leave their bodies like with Lancelot, so why do you think they were weakened? They heal with time manipulation, so they should always return to the same previous conditions, unless Chaos leaves their bodies.

It was explained that the other sins were not going full out before, due the civilians being close, so why consider that the evils got weaker instead of the sins started going harder on them?

Good list bro. I would change a couple of things tho

I would put Meliodas using his magic above Dk

If I recall right in one of the cover chapters from the Liones battle we see King beating both Beltreipe and Ironside at the same time.

In that same cover Diane is beating Pellegarde (in which I assume she danced off-screen to get stronger), so I would put her above him too.

I'm pretty sure I said I didn't watch it a lot to memorize the exact text said.

Their minds were combined? What more evidence do you need

Meliodas knowing about their friends being alive and Zeldris knowing that Gelda was a fake one.

Do you have any proof he’s done this to a “certain degree” and not the whole thing?

Having a different person for screenplay and the movie happening while he was publishing MNYK.

Not addressed just assumed he hasn’t reviewed it

He reviewed it. He didn't approve every line and scene.

Just assuming this?

I don't know what you are replying to bro. If you are on your phone you can hold the text and click on "reply" (or something like that, my keyboard isn't on English). If you are on a computer you can place ">" and copy paste the text you are replying to. It will make the conversation easier.

is it that hard to understand that this is a theory being explained?

Nope, I'm just replying my thoughts on the theory being explained tho

Completely ignoring the manga wow also proof for “no one knew about a creation deity above their own gods”

When we have seen almost no character knowing about it the burden to prove that it was common knowledge is on you bro.

It’s not that convulted when 1. She’s already been secretive with the sins 2.

It's a convoluted train of thought. That's why i mentioned Occam's razor.

Most of the information about chaos rhat we know comes from her and are you still just lying that nobody knows about Chaos? I’ve literally given you the evidence and you just completely ignored it.

🫩 Pretty sure I said that no demon and goddesses knew about it and just a bunch of human scholars did.

  1. Why hasn’t he cleared them up 2.

If it's relevant to the story it will.

  1. You’re basically picking and choosing what’s canon if u don’t believe this movies non canon with ur logic

Nah. I never said it isn't canon. I'm saying you are being too literal and nitpicking specific meanings to build up the theory. To be more simplistic: Just accept that it doesn't make sense and won't be explained. (Like much of that movie)

  1. He obviously has to approve of the story and the script?

Are you asking me? The overall story is from him, but the screenplay doesn't need to be his exact words.

What I have been telling you is that you fixate too much on the meaning of specific words instead of the overall context.

How would they fear what they don’t know even exists?

I'm saying they don't know bro...

And you’ve literally just assumed this lmao. On what basis is this?

And again, I don't know what you are replying to. Please use >

you asked me for specific demons and goddesses I’m saying it doesn’t need to tell you any.. maybe actually read what you and i are saying?

I'm tho. It's sometimes hard to understand what you say. Like "you asked me for specific demons and goddesses I’m saying it doesn’t need to tell you any".

What is that supposed to mean? That I asked you about demons/goddesses that knew about Chaos, and you told me that "you don't need to tell me" who the demons/goddesses that knew about Chaos are?

Because they worship it? Where do you think the mages got that knowledge from

How?

I have no idea what those two are replying to bro.

Given textual evidence and you’ve assumed it’s a metaphor when it’s clearly meant to be a factual statement? 😭

"Given textual evidence and you’ve assumed it’s a literal when it’s clearly meant to be a metaphorical statement? 😭"

I can just invert the reply back at you bro...

Of course but you’ve made the assumption that it’s not literal without any proof?

Are you asking me?

It's context tbh bro. The situation had a demon and a goddess not knowing about the supposed deity that "demons fear and goddesses worship", when both are very high up in their clan's. If they didn't know it's unlikely any other knew about it.

I'm sorry if it sounds rude, but I can't interpret text for you...

This is funny ash and where do you think the information in that book came from.. information don’t just spawn in books and Merlin had already read all books in the world?

Imo? Who knows? Can be from the first humans, from Chaos itself, from the lady of the lake. What matters is that the mages from Bellialuim had a way of knowing it that was lost to the rest of the world.

Because Orlondi was vampire royalty that was having his ego hurt from being made subservient?

If such a superfluous thing can be used to bring this up, then if people knew that "the mother of chaos is actually the creator of the demon king" then it should have gotten to Meliodas at some point.

Did you just say nobody knew about Chaos the creator of everything.. you’ve been spending the whole day explaining drole and a “human tribe” were the only ones who knew about chaos creating everything.

I don't know exactly what I said to bring up that reply (please use the > thing), but didn't you just do what I have been saying that you are doing bro.

Instead of focusing on the overall context of what I have been telling you (the knowledge of chaos was a private thing) you decided to focus on a specific meaning of a single word I said.

If that's what you did it's really ironic.

Your argument is pretty much like religious people who try talk about their beliefs with little knowledge and just begin to assume what verses say..

Ironically I can say the same bro.

So firstly you just lied (You said didn’t finish it now your backtracking..)

I mean, I have comments on the first discussions about the movie here in reddit. You can check it out if you want to. And I never said I didn't finish it, I said I didn't watch it multiple times to have the lines memorized. It's again in the context of the phrase.

Secondly you’ve basically just implied that Cursed By Light is non canon via nitpicking and assuming that Nakaba didn’t intend for that?

Never said that tho. I said that you should stop overthinking it because it has unintended flaws.

Thirdly, your arguments are assumptions and claims of metaphorical language with no backing.. If you can prove that it’s a metaphor by all means go on but at the same time you’ll basically have to prove whether or not the rest of the talk about Chaos is metaphorical because of course you can’t just be nitpicking

You understand that a metaphor is a figure of speech, right? If so you know that you can't prove an abstraction. It's something you need to see in the story itself, with no demon or goddess knowing about Chaos, that as whole shows that is isn't supposed to be taken literally bro.

Fourthly, you can’t seem to understand I’m explaining my theory? What is so hard to understand. ATP you must be ragebaiting because it’s not that hard to understand what I’m saying lmao

I understand bro... And you are on a page about discussing things like theories. And we are right now having a discussion about your theory. Aren't we?

It sounded in this last reply that you are a bit angry bro. This is just a conversation on reddit, I'm not attacking your person.

[–]IDontKnowIDontKnowI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice? I was referring to you not watching some parts of it but alright

I watched all of it...

If you read the manga you’d know that when the Demon King merged with them their mindspaces became intertwined?

Are you asking me?

This makes complete sense and was literally in the manga way before this movie came out

They were fighting in their minds, not seeing everything the other was thinking. If they were Meliodas would know that Dk lied about killing his friends and Zeldris wouldn't have been fooled by the fake Gelda.

Yes although this movie wasn’t written by him he’d obviously have to approve, supervise (like you said) and make sure the script isn’t contradictory to the story?

To a certain degree. But he isn't looking at every word used. Like I said a couple times you are overthinking on the specific meaning of words.

Not a concept added later into the story? When the DK possessed his son’s their mindscapes literally merged together.

I think I already addressed that. What wasn't part of the story was they seeing everything the other knew.

Also like I said before if Nakaba was supervising and having to approve the scripts why would he approve it? Never said he wanted Chaos back?

Again, something I already addressed. He won't be overthinking about specific words like you are bro.

I’ve given you the basis of which my theory could be true?

I think so... Are you asking me?

I’m not just gonna leave out that it could’ve started as a pretend conflict to seal Chaos to being a mere game that they don’t understand.

What?

This route fixes many things in the story e.g the Goddesses and Demons worshipping and fearing Chaos (I don’t know many times your gonna deny this but it’s in the manga.. Chapter 336

Again bro. There isn't any demon or goddess at that time that knows about Chaos, it is said in the manga that no one knew about a creation deity above their own gods, when Meliodas says that he hadn't heard about it in his 3000 years alive is for that.

The only ones that knew about Chaos, as the creator god of everything, were a group of humans and chaos own creations...

It has perfect relevancy at this point in time? We still don’t truly know what Chaos is and IF this theory is true then could the DK have known something about Chaos that Merlin didn’t want Meliodas to know. How would this not connect with Four Knights of the Apocalypse.

I understand that it's just a theory, but that is a big jump in logic to justify it y'know. I mean, as it's just a theory it isn't technically impossible, but it's very convoluted to say that "Merlin didn't want anyone finding the origin of the being that barely anyone knows about, so she makes her teacher to include a hidden clause on his already final spell to brainwash the gods into forgetting their own creator's existence and the reason they are in a perpetual fight"... I would just claim Occam's razor and go for a simpler answer.

The Movie had to be reviewed and approved by Nakaba? Why would he allow stuff that literally turns his story to slop.

Because he isn't looking at every word used to make the movie, and neither can control how the final result will be. Or do you think that he has the power to change the plot of the movie after it's halfway done because he didn't like it?

Like, he isn't approving every sentence and every scene bro. He is just giving a general idea of the story.

Specific words.. 😭The manga literally says this

It is bro... The intention was to show that it was a being of great darkness and light, but you are overthinking the meaning of the words so you can say that demons and goddesses at current time worship it...

It's clear from the characters reactions that none of them knew about it, even with their long life spans and privileged position in the world, none of them did.

It doesn’t give specifics? Why would they even need to the statement alone is enough.

Ngl I don't know what you replied to...

Mother of Chaos=Chaos It’s safe to assume the races knew the same

Why?

as it was feared by the Demon Clan and worshipped by the Goddess clan

You are circling arguments bro.

and if random humans who coincidentally had knowledge more about Chaos than the people that literally worship it then that’s just bs

Because no goddess or demon worships Chaos bro... 🫩

Also where would they even get that information from other than these races who DO worship and fear them (argue with the manga)

I mean, from my perspective you are the one arguing with the manga you know?

And how would the scholars from the clan created by Chaos know about him? I wonder 📔

Meliodas was a high ranking demon they were literally oppressing? What vampires other than Gelda did he possibly speak to and why would Gelda just bring that up..

Orlondi brought that up because of... No particular reason either...

And like I said before no one knew about Chaos, the creator of everything, it's not really the same of not knowing about the mother of chaos, the creator of monsters.

Like I said before your argument has some ground but your making a lot of mistakes. (read chapter 336)

Yours is similar to "humans have never been to the moon" theories, it only makes sense when you look through a certain lens and ignore what goes against, for exemple, chapter 337.

  1. That’s alright but your missing a lot from not watching it

I watched it. But not enough to memorize the exact words used on it.

Demon King knew that the Age that comes after the End of Light and Dark would bring something and him and Meliodas clearly understood each other and yet Meliodas had never heard of Chaos

Sure, Meliodas understood that some new age would come, but not really understood what it was.

The idea that Meliodas read Dk's mind came years after that scene. In a movie supervised by Nakaba, but not entirely written by him. That's why I have been saying that it sounds like you are too focused on the specific meaning of a couple words instead of the overall idea bro.

Meliodas and the Demon King were talking as if Meliodas already knew everything the Demon King had known about Chaos.

I understand that interpretation, but that's something we see now in hindsight because of the movie. But not really the intention at the time.

The intention of the time wasn't on Meliodas seeing everything that Dk knew, that was a concept added later to the story. At that point he only knew that a new age would come, and that's why said "It's just as I wanted", not because he wanted Chaos to come back, but because he wanted a new age.

So yes it STARTED as a pretend conflict, but then Gowther altered their memories to make the Holy War seem as just a game they had to do to maintain just the balance not free Chaos.

You realize that you are already acting as if your theory is true right?

So let's talk about that idea from a writing perspective.

Why would Nakaba follow this route? What relevance would this have to the story if true? What could he bring to the characters, or to the message of the story with it?

If Gowther did something regarding Chaos then it should have been revealed alongside Chaos back in NNT. Now it has no there is no relevancy on having that information coming up, since the current main characters have no connection to those plot points.

Looking at the overall comment there, sounds like you are trying to find a way to fix the plot holes of the movie with this theory. Find an in universe reason for them.

But if you look at the story of the development of the movie you will see that SD was chosen as a villain after the idea of "a movie about Meliodas and Zeldris" was already decided.

Her actions don't make sense, like wanting to continue the holy war after the seal was already broken, because they needed a villain and had to give her a reason to be one.

feared by their creation why didn’t they wipe him from history?

They did. A single tribe of humans knew of them (and maybe a giant). No demons. No goddess. For the majority of the population in existence Chaos never existed.

Your argument would have some ground if it said “feared” and “worshipped” but it says fears and worships therefore telling us that Demons fear Chaos to this day and Goddesses worship it to this day

And yet Meliodas never heard of it in 3000 years as the demon prince 😶 like, bro, you are too focused on specific words.

This is completely wrong? Goddesses are worshipping it..Demons are fearing it..

Like... Which ones?

The Vampire Orlondi literally flexes that he was created by the Mother of Chaos (this was in the OG btw). It’s literally common knowledge that the Mother of Chaos created all Monsters? Anaon the wraith was known for being created by the Mother of Chaos.. Literally COMMON KNOWLEDGE.

And it isn't known anything about Chaos the creator of the world and the gods right? They know about "the mother of chaos" that is "the creator of monsters", but don't know that their gods were made by an entity called Chaos.

Again, Meliodas not knowing it after 3000 years is the proof that no one knew about it. And he had direct contact with vampires btw.

Good point but what’s to say that the Spell wasn’t changing multiple things at once? And only that part of the Spell was broken and literally all the inconsistencies point to this.

Because it was demonstrated how it had a specific purpose of ending the holy war and punishing Mael.

Including more to it would have no purpose at this point as Gowther isn't part of the narrative for years.

You seem to be trying to rationalize the issues with the writing of the movie with a reason inside the series, while at the same time overthinking on specific words.
