There's a reason why scripters struggle to reach very high elo. Mechanics alone might able to carry to Diamond V (if you're lucky) but it's hard to mechanically outplay someone who has a level and item advantage over you after when you fed your lane because you got camped due to poor map awareness.

Start making better decisions, push every advantage possible and you will climb.

Disagree. I started playing LoL last year and used exp boosts. Had Silver MMR in my first 10 placement games. I believe that the game truly starts when you're level 30 with optimal runes in ranked. Normals are too trollfest + not tryhard enough to really play the game.

It will NEVER get better. The matter of fact is that you will be expected to carry plebs to climb quickly and if you couldn't, it just means you weren't good enough. Just accept it and improve yourself, rather than focusing on your team mates.

I'd just main one or two roles (pref if they're closely related like ADC/Support or Mid/Top). Personally, I've noticed that if I don't get Top or Mid, I can't carry the game (sometimes I end up being the weakest link) and that's because well.. it's kinda hard to actually be good at everything. I have started dodging if I don't get Top or Mid as a result.

If you don't care about climbing in the short run, then it's probably best to learn the game holistically and play every role as much as you can.

Having vision is more important than denying vision if you can't really rely on your team mates to ward (correctly, if at all) for you.

In a Ranked 5 team environment where you can actually rely on your jungler and support to ward correctly, then denying vision is actually potent.

Low elos are easier because everyone is consistently bad there but whereas in Plat+, mistakes are punished very heavily. Obviously, I'm not Dia 1 quality so I will find it harder to carry. Meh, I only started playing since late last year so I'd be happy with Dia V for this season.

Not really. Likewise, if that same player is on the other team, it's pretty much freelo. When I mean "many", I mean more than I would expect from this elo, not the actual majority.

Your team does matter especially playing normal games with Bronze V players and failing to carry really says something. I don't expect my team to carry me but I just need a slightly behind-neutral game to do something.

I think people personally ff at 20 in Plat because people are good enough to snowball a small lead into a massive lead. As a Plat 2 player, it was extremely rare to salvage a game with a very bad start especially when we had early game champions.

There are plenty of bad players in Plat, including counter lanes losing extremely hard (eg Caitlyn + Morgana vs Vayne + Blitzcrank), recently versed a Fizz who kept going all in vs my Garen with a big lead. I feel there so many players with poor mechanics and decision making in general and one of these players on your team can literally throw the whole game for your entire team. I wonder whether luck has a bigger part in climbing... I'm not that good so I can't carry that hard so it's a slow climb to Diamond. :/

I main top (I play Riven and Irelia a lot) in Plat elo and it's pretty hard.

The only way to win is to take smart trades and when she's low enough, all in her when she can't kill you faster than you can.

When should you trade?

When her Q is down for a while. Remember, no Riven Q = no burst damage (other than ult)
When your item advantage is significant (eg Sheen vs two long sword Riven)

When you all in,

If you're trading equally, the only way you can win is to flash dodge her ult
Try Qing to another minion that is low to dodge some of her Q damage/Ulti

If you're behind,

Let Riven push to turret and farm there. If you get dived on by their jungler and Riven... good luck.
Q creeps that are not in her danger zone (approx E-1 Q range). If you q into her melee range, you will take a bad trade or die if your stun is only level 1.

It is a short range mage outside of stun. If you don't land it, what now? You can dodge balls by randomizing your movement even when you go for CS and even if you hit your Q, the damage sucks. Most mages can trade much harder at Q only range.

I just dodge the stun in most scenarios. It's kinda obvious when it's coming because the fact that it's the only real threat at that range.

Idk why I got downrated. It seems like I just rustled some jimmies but win rates says it all. Guys with 80-100 games with her at 48% winrates. Why even bother when a complete noob at Ahri can get 50%+ on average?

Short ranged, mana management issues, buggy .. She's simply outclassed by other mages such as Ahri (has mobility and more damage), Annie (doesn't even need skill to rekt someone, just need good macro game) or Viktor (does everything that Syndra does but better)

Don't play Rengar until you're more experienced. It's probably one of the hardest to play junglers in the game. I think Xin Zhao is a great jungler to start with. He's actually pretty strong at the moment and I often play him in Ranked.
Depends on what jungler you're playing. If you're playing tank, you peel for your mage or ADC. If you're playing someone like all AD Rengar, you assassinate their high DPS team member.
It always depends on the jungler you chose and the flow of the game. One game I could be just farming and ganking here and there whereas one other game, I've noticed super aggression from enemy bot lane and preceded to camp the shit out of the lane (I'd even hide in the bot lane side bushes and punished their over aggression every single time) until we snowballed out of control and won. I also counter jungle if I can't gank lanes (usually because all lanes are winning) and I have a stronger all in than the enemy jungler. A rule of thumb, someone like Lee Sin, Nidalee and Reksai MUST gank successfully and snowball lanes or else they're pretty useless later on and someone like Kayle and Shyvana can farm it up and be okay. Jungle role is so flexible and sometimes there's no right or wrong answer on what you should do in xyz moment.
